Stops compaction and helps oxygen get to the roots. I’m adding an additional 1/2”-1” of amendments (4 cups) to the pot in effect. It’s why I do it. If it doesn’t help it sure doesn’t hurt and the reasons I was taught to do it kinda make sense.... JMHO

I’ll go down in a bit and get some shots of the one girl I have going. She’s watered, trellised, lollipoped, defoliated, and entering her second week of flower. From here it’s water, feed, and wait. But in the mean time, I thought I’d share something funny.
This is my 18 Year old (at the time) son Jesse helping with a Street Performance at Covent Garden's in London England. Jennifer and I took him there for his Graduation present. Little did this guy know as he pulled people from the audience, He had grabbed a 2nd degree black belt Martial Arts World instructor. Understand like myself, my son took martial arts seriously. He taught/trained 5 hours a day, 5 days a week since he was 14.
If you watch Jesse you see his face light up as he sees the set up. He actually starts grinning and bounces to the music as the guy is showing him what he wants him to do. Part of Jesse's Job as a martial arts instructor was ALOT of public speaking and directing 50+ people at a time.
Being able to make 350+ people of various nationalities laugh was VERY kewl. He was in heaven.

Grow update:
Watered 1 gallon with Recharge (microbes, amino acids, etc.) and CalMag. In the past I used well water. I’m now using RO water and have learned since about RO water and calmag defecencies. My baby is MUCH happier. I PH’d at 6.6. Even though recharge tells you not to PH that the microbes will auto adjust. I’ve always found this to be bullspit in every product that makes the claim. At least with soil.
Nice even canopy, should fill the tent.
Nice and clean underneath.

Putting the cloth on large gravel allows me to water with a bit of run off without having to come back every Corolla hours to vacuum it up or risk root rot.
Everything is stacking nicely. She has a little stretch but nothing unmanageable so far.

I learned my lesson WAAAYYYY back with Advanced Nutrients “Proper PH” line. I did it with soil and found out quickly the only proper PH is what I did to it, Never again. What’s your experience with silica? I don’t like what it does to my leaves. Rhino Skin from AN was ther version and though I used it. I noticed that strange texture/ color change when i did. I’ve got blue planets addictive but when I used it I got the same results.

I mix it up with the recharge. I mainly use Urb, seaweed extract, and molasses. I’ll use recharge a few times during flowering. I use Medina Soil activator plus when I’m watering soil for the first time before transplant and about half way through flower. CalMag will now be an additive all through the grow. Learned my lesson about RO water and CalMag. Between that and LED lights this grow has been like trying to relearn how to ice skate.

For Myco I use Great White when transplanting and Root Magic for Top Dressing. Only because of the containers and GW’s shaker makes it easier for transplants. One isn’t better than the other IMHO.

Nice!!!! I’m the same way about alternating sources with Compost Tea and Recharge but I do every third watering/feeding with either a true compost tea or recharge. So basically either a compost tea or recharge every 2 weeks alternating. I do 8 ml Urb and 12 ml seaweed extract and 1 Tbsp molasses per gallon every watering that isn’t recharge or or tea. It’s probably close or similar to what you do. As Frim points out we all have our techniques that work for us. What I love is by telling what we do. We can all get ideas of what might work with what we’re doing currently.

Let me clarify, I water with compost tea, Then next watering is just water or CalMag (3 ml per gallon), then Urb,Seaweed, molasses, Then plain water or CalMag if needed, Then Recharge, then water/CalMag, Then Urb,seaweed, molasses, then water/CalMag, then start it all over again. I top dress every two weeks and I alternate amendments to a schedule there as well. She’s averaging a gallon every 3-5 days. I expect that to pick up here in the next week or two.

@Meatman has made my mind up. Every year my wife and I pay several thousand dollars in taxes. Well we were actually due 2 Covid relief checks that we did not receive. Because of this the Gov is giving people like us a tax right off instead and because of this we’re getting a refund. My wife and I consider this “found” money so we divy it up and buy things we want. I’m going to go ahead and get another 4x4 complete set-up from AC infinity like I have already and a 2x4 as well. I have a light board just waiting to go in both. That will give me a 3x3 for “keepers” , a 2x4 for veg, and two 4x4’s for flower. As I’ve said in several posts, everything seems to happen for a reason.

Three days after final defoliation, lollipoping, and 8 days into flower and the lady’s filling in. With Many bud sites just waiting to explode.
The lady is nice and clean underneath. Just how I like em ?
I’m liking what I’m seeing only 1 week into flower. Tomorrow I’ll water 1 gallon of water with 3ml CalMag. Also I normally “name” my plants. I think we’ll call this one Wilma, I mean I already have a Betty and I sure as hell don’t want to call this one Al.

Well I spread her out in the trellis one final time. She’s well into the stretch but I think it will be manageable. How she sits is how she grows. I cut my wattage up by 2% and will up it that much every 3-5 days. I’ll let what the lady define how high we go. As long as she’s reflecting green back at me and not yellow, we’re good. I will give her a huge bump in wattage at week 5. Now it’s just Time to Water, Feed, and wait.✌?
