That's quite a start you have there....better get em dirty soon or it will be time harvest some crookneck.
I am late this season...building a cold frame so as to start sooner than later next year...there is still plenty of time here so I'll be okay.
How large is your plot?

I try every year for the early start it rarely ever works for me.
I get it planted and rain comes and destroys it before it can sprout so this year I will prepare for next spring...best I can do now.
We have snow tonight then rain for the rest of the week...praying for some decent weather to get things headed in the right direction.
We had 2 large trees fall right in the middle of my garden area so I have that to deal with before tilling it up, I'm getting there.

Gardening is by no means easy or everybody would do it!

I've been a victim too many times planting out early...............it's rarely worth it. A cold frame helps.

I usually plant outside in late May...any earlier is taking a chance unless long term weather says it's going to be nice. We had snow in June one year and the veggies were in the cold frame until almost July. We were at a much lower elevation then so we had a late season garden that year. I need to construct me a cold frame here and extend my season a little.

I bought some comfrey plants last year and I see them coming up now and also the 20 more I made from root cuts. I'm growing it to cut and then use for compost or mulch for other plants. Purported to be able to cut 4x a year. So I'm growing what will be very potent green manure, actually more nutrients than compost. This has been all that much reading and more reading, but going into practice this year just to see.
Anybody else grow comfrey?

I did sprinkle around some radish seed, scallion seed, brocoli rabe seed and some shell peas direct seeding. Some lettuce is ready in the cold frame. still have 100 solo cups inside......but they will be moving out next week to the frame. Some rotated areas have been covered with cardboard, then leaves and eventually mulch.....then that will sit with some fabric pots on top...the carboard will be gone by the fall :) worms destroy it!
