I can't get enough garlic varieties.I should try garlic this year, never done it, all I know is there are hard neck and soft neck and I think for my region a fall crop is the only real option.
I am curious if any of my asparagus made it through the winter, nothing harvestable last year (first year).
We have some strawberry roots we'll give a try and we also bought 9 rooted plants too.I've got cut seed potatoes scabbing over, a ton of garlic, ready to go, Cherokee purple tomatoes, aswad eggplant, purple and green basil and rosemary all started in the growroom, they're about a week or 2 from transplant time now, dam basil is touchy at this stage lol gotta check on em at least twice a day and attempting to get these strawberry roots to come back from the dead View attachment 58341 View attachment 58342 View attachment 58343
I don't even grow softnecks anymore, just hardnecks. They need to be in the ground late fall, here to overwinter. Well worth it........you get two harvests a year and all your seed stock for next year.I should try garlic this year, never done it, all I know is there are hard neck and soft neck and I think for my region a fall crop is the only real option.

Both these trays are about 1.5 months from emergence. The one on the left is only a week behind, but I didn't select down to one per cell until today. We have some strawberry roots we'll give a try and we also bought 9 rooted plants too.
Love those purple taters in potatoe salad.
I would grow some of your garlic bulbs @Willie . Are any on the hot side? I like to eat raw.Btw, I've been selecting my garlic over 7 years, this being the 8th season coming. I have some good cultivars I can share if anyone's interested.............hit me up!
Those yellow bush beans have a story, lol. I acquired them in 2007 and they were 12 years old then. Planted them and they were viable. Great bean, great plant. I've been saving my own seeds from those 12-13 years now.Great big shout out to @Willie for the wonderful assortment of garden favorites!
4 varities of garlic, going in the ground this afternoon, a couple heirloom tomatoe varities and a few other hybrids it appears!!
Thank ya Wille. View attachment 59135
