Welcome to my coco coir journal. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO COMMENT, ESPECIALLY IF IM DOING SOMETHING WRONG. LOL

Strains: Nirvana Jock Horror, Raspberry Cough, Sour Diesel, Tangie, Black Jack and Afghan KushxBlack Domina.
Medium: coco coir mixed with perlite
Nutes: General Hydroponics Flora Trio, Recharge soil conditioner, Maxicrop Seaweed Extract, Terpinator, CaliMagic
Target ppm this week 250, target ph for food is 5.8
Lighting: 3 Timber 3vl cob LEDs
Tent: 5 x 5 x 8
Water: RO water
Plant Training: Uncle Bens topping technique....then LST.

Started out with a humidity dome to try to maintain a very high humidity level in my room. Found that without air movement, the stems became too weak. So I have removed them from the dome and I have an oscillating fan blowing on them.

Seedlings have been growing quickly in coco. I’m foliar feeding with seaweed extract up to ten times per day, plus feeding the plants with 10 percent runoff once per day. They are getting 15,000 lux worth of light.

As soon as I finish my harvest, I will move them to the grow tent under the more intense lighting.

I'm subbed up :) I have couple of those jock horror seeds stashed. I don't have any experience with coco so it'll be fun seeing your progress
Welcome! I’ll do my best to keep them alive thru harvest! I’ve read some nice reviews on Jock Horror too.

This coco growing is proving significantly different than soil growing, especially the preparation. Had to rehydrate several bricks of coco, rinse the salt and peat out of the mix, then buffer twice in a 150% dose of CalMag solution. Now it’s just a matter of watering daily and getting 10 percent runoff.

One spot in the grow tent just opened up. The OG Kush is on day 118....in week 10 since the flip to 12/12 lighting. She was topped once and then I used LST to spread her out. I exposed her to 2-3 hours of UVB light per day to increase THC content.

Here she was after I topped her and staked her down.

Here she is now. She is now in a dark closet awaiting 48 hours of darkness before harvest. I plan to harvest her on Friday.

It's always fun trying new ways of growing. I went organic last year. Like starting over again. But a good time
I agree! It keeps it interesting. I went “almost organic” on my last grow using Nectar For the Gods. I liked the nutes a lot, but I struggled with taking corrective actions when needed since it was a complicated nutrient schedule. Thanks for checking the grow out! I’m going to have fun with this one.
