fohse A3i (commerical ) min 10 foot ceiling

fohse aries (home version ) min 3 feet canopy separation from light to canopy .
home PPE = 3.0 μmol/J (up to 3.3 μmol/J)

I am in no way Affilated , but these lights look different and innovate being they are not so close to the canopy! I’m very interested

No till commerical grow + all that brand led, it’s awesome and the grow itself is too, all the stuff they explain in that video is def worth watching.

i would love to hear from anyone who has used these lights or what not, they seem preety cool ( only thing that got me was their pricey controller , but all the cool sprectrum stuff you can do where you can adjust whole spreudtrum and do sunrise and sunset I can see why it’s that’s why)

Only thing that is ”pissing me off” or giving the company a (negative in my books ) was they were all game and cool 1st time I called but once they heard I was just a home level/mid commercial. They had no interest in giving me any info , prices on their lights and told me they would email me preorder for the commerical models . It’s been 4+ days and no email? that’s sad they weren’t interested to sell me lights even when I said if they let me buy 2 lights to try I would buy ”bulk” later if impressed after cycle testing? first thing they told me they weren’t interested in home growers

that would be like the car companies making fast car but saying “only for the pro’s” lol

things like that will just shoot em in the foot in the end, exp when the cannabis war and growing at home for demands changes. Micro growing and micro brewing licenses just like for beers is respected just like a big big boy. there’s no reason for just the “big boys”.

too many company’s see this success or these facilities buying all this stuff but don’t realize its not going to last forever, they need to make a brand and become a known and well established . my question have u ever heard of them? I haven’t ? So even if they have gained shit tons of cash, if it cost them tons of cash to patent it and they are being that greedy. doing it that way is going to fuck em.

not selling it in hydro stores, no wholesalers, no known sellers and i don’t see willing reviews besides a few big ag (2)

‘that’s the kinda stuff you ask for in Canadian take over companies thou? its kinda sad no mercy and high cost.. blah
(Don’t wanna sound like jerk but I made this thread interested in them, now I’m a little frustrated or don’t trust em)

Meh... Just because they crammed 1500w of multi spectrum diodes onto 8 strips, in a 2x4ft area doesn't make them the end game for home growers... Especially if they've blatantly snubbed a home grower trying to work with them.
I don't know anything other than reading the thread so far, but if they're like most LED companies, you can do better on your own, with a little will and research, and a lot less money.
... Yeah, after looking again, it looks like they're offering about the same as most of these LED guys like fluence, etc. About 600w, for close to $2k.
You could definitely build your own, to the same specs, with custom controller, for less than that....IF you're willing to put in the time to learn from fellow forum members. If you've got more money than time to invest though, pull that trigger, and let us know how they perform!

I have been working with timber led for 2+ years, I also have hlg and fluence as tester against timber led to test and compare chipsets (osram vs quatuam board vs vero 29 cob )

i have been a led user for awhile, and the 1500w isnt for a 4x8, its a 10ft min ceiling from canopy you even have to have the light spaced cause they are so powerful. it’s just sad that the company wants to play games with their sales ( they only want to sell the 600w version to home and that’s on their website )

I think the Main reason why is the 1500w is only like 250-500 bucks more than than 600w and it’s exact same tech. They are just robbing the hobby grower and making you gotta buy a certain amount before you get it aka commerical. Blah

if a company can’t have their stuff ” for sale” and have a price tag, and then bulk prices Discount . They are in the wrong business and fuck em already and I can’t imagine dealing with them if the light had issues?

The cool thing about their tech was they could control the sprectrum entirely through the light control to any spectrum “ spring , summer, beg flower, end flower , fall”
but the controller was also 600ish bucks, that’s a light+ of most lights ( granted it can control 100 lights )

It’s a very interesting light being you have it min 6 ft away and can do so much power vs other brands. Sad they wouldn’t deal with non Lp or even give their price besides the hobby version ( my guess very close in price and they work with Lp when buy bulk and that’s the way to go if you could )

In the future , I’m sure there will more led’s ( for commerical and higher level canopy ) That can compete and also do such . Just funny I never heard of them and their power and quality is def very unique on that level for commerical

A updated video from them:

my point is it’s 1500 watts for 6x6, well what would be 3 hlg 550’s v2 in yeilds ? I bet you could get if not more than 6.5lb per 1500 watts and more coverage , exp if it was (3 units) of 650r’s, cheaper per unit to buy too

some companies say in their videos and acting like the whole industry is using them but google their name or look for company’s that do use it? can’t find shit and I even asked the company that, all their response was “ most commerical aren’t willing to show their specs “

Everything I needed to know was on ledgardener.com lol just find a better strip with some added spectrums and go at it, it's really easy and the wattage and footprint is up to you, I know this route isn't for everyone but i was able to learn it in 2 or 3 readings, and you will save money for sure, random rant over ???

not saying your wrong In anyway , just disagree strips or one light is better than other even if same rating score per square feet. everyone is different on their demands and pros and cons

strips arent For everyone , for example if you want a higher distance to canopyso you dont have to raise your lights during foliar s ( imagine 100’s+ of lights to raise ) and being able to work under the lights.

works for small growers or double racking, doesn’t work for me and my style . I want penetration and high height lights

Hey guys, Brett here at Fohse, I'd like to extend an olive branch to the home market and offer our Aries to anyone wanting one at $1,000. Please email me direct for this deal and reference Phenohunter.org forum and lll get it situated. We as a company focused originally at the commercial market as that is where we came from and felt we could provide the most amount of value to the industry. It takes a lot of man power to service the home grow industry, that was something we as a company needed to grow into, as we were starting up. We are there now, and like I said we would love send some units out and to answer any questions anyone might have. If anyone does find themself in Las Vegas and would like to tour a grow or see our facility feel free to reach out! Cheers, Brett

Ok I'll bite. Email sent!

I've been deep into bruce bugbee and Shane from Migro and their info on lighting, all the testing is saying its a waste of time lol another bell or whistle basically, the plant has no real problem waking up with a straight up on from off switch to full power, ramping is basically just wasting time the plant isn't really worried about anyway. Straight on and straight off seems to produce the best results, from what these guys are saying, and I nerd out on lighting a lot I feel these 2 are at the top of the field as far as indoor plant lighting goes, and many will say to mimic nature but we have to remember that nature isn't aiming for trichome encrusted sensimellia, she wants seeded nugs to keep the plant alive, just my 2 cents and regurgitation of what I've found in my digging

You run em with the Spectre controllers? I just saw they have a sunrise sunset feature. Thats pretty fancy for the price point.

Yes we use the controllers as well, but like Gweedo said, I dont think the S/S feature really does anything for us.

I'm really happy with them tho & I've seen quite a few monster plants come outta the rooms of all dif strains. We get nice buds close to the lights & nice buds far from the lights. 99% chance I'll be installing them at home this year.
