BTI is very unreliable and I have spent way too much on that from granular version In the past and wish I didn’t ( bought bucket amounts for indoors and out ) to liquid version which is 16x stronger and that still didn’t eliminate them in the battle. I even play in coco of doing as far as I can go with dryness without capping and i was having def fungus problems . so I know I’m not having “ over watering” when these pots are super “ liftable “ on the test vs wet.
i so wish I would of learned this “trick” along time ago. Def easier on the wallet and it works within 24 hours and you def won’t have any fungus gnats after this Inless the nematodes are a crappy source. and that’s not hard to get
key price vs price on a reduction and how efficient it is, nematodes and rove beetles work better . Nematodes kill the larvae and rove beetles kill and hunt for the adults + put yellow cards for anything else and a good way to know if your getting them down by number is change your card weekly and see if the number is going down.
best way I ”win” the battle indoors of fungus gnats apply nematodes after 4-6th week and and also apply it to your flower room if you have it ( which that will be in early to mid range as well) and that will keep all the gnats In check. I buy the 250 mil nematodes instead of the 50 mil cause if you look at the price, they range ape ya on the 50mil and shipping is over 50% of the price. Might as well do it right and win the better eh
same with gene rove beetles, more population def wins and you can do both rooms and I even see rove beetles the next round in my coco when I haven’t even grown in the medium the whole summer. They are a amazing just like the h mile that they can survive that long .
big tip is never buy any bugs or nematodes from non big wholesalers like amazon or non certified cause they can so rip ya off and give you dead spore nematodes and whatcha gonna do? if it was me I will pay the if not same price and buy from the creditable people and be it from the source so it’s good stock since loook at nematodes c are so fragile you should even apply them in the dark or when light isnt on or full ( less the better, outdoors I do it sunset ) just read the pdf on nematodes and you’ll be okay, it’s super easy but like example there’s some nutes and certainly things they def don’t want you to do or timing on their products.
