BTi, for the win.

Hardly, hardly, off topic.

In the second World war colour blind soldiers were employed as ariel spotters and map interpreters.
With out hue distractions, these people were more adept @ spotting irregularities, as they had adapted to identifying shapes.

My bow-hunting mentor was colourblind. He would critique my camo choices, and tell me what the deer would see.

I use the BTi on a regular basis for treating the soil so i was kinda surprised when they popped up. Little did i know i was collecting a pool of water that i could not see in one of the drain trays.

He tried becoming a Seal. Navy kept him but his career choices were kinda limited after that.
I always laugh when i remember my step dad talking about the Seals. He was a career Navy man and always said Seals were animals that did not belong in society. I suspect his statement refereed to there behavior in Vietnam. I think differently about that but i was not there.

They are regular people like you & me... I had three in my family, now just two. In fact you'd probably never guess my dad was a seal hes way too friendly & talks to everyone... I will say tho, I learned when the going gets tough & shit gets in your way, snap, put your emotions aside & just physically fuck everything up around you to make it do what you want & itll get done lol.

Don't get me wrong i have the upmost respect for any military individual. Special forces are on a whole other level. Super special individuals that have skills that should take them anywhere in life that they wish to go.

It's all in your head, I learned that as a little kid from him. Once you learn to overcome panic & fatigue it's crazy to see what your body can do.

I quit having pecker gnat problems when I upped my airflow, and I mean fans in tent along with exhaust fan, or intake fan, however you turn it, lol. Like tent puffed out or sucked in. Jme

Late to the party I am but I've always got 2 cents to donate lol, mosquito bits for the win imo, I mix up a batch of phd water add my great white and mosquito bits to the water stir like a mofo and then top water it in, saturate the media with it 3 times, I did it on 6 day intervals, with the stickies and killer airflow they should be a non issue, as for the ones in the bud Id just hand trimm meticulously, or just a quick rinse in the shower

Attempting to culture some fresh BTi from dunks now. Placed a half a dunk ( broken up to pea size and smaller) in a small bucket with a dash of molasses, a little oatmeal flour, a half tsp of coconut oil and rain water . Put a bubble stone in and let it run for the past few days.
I'll dilute and use as a soil drench when complete. Local store was out of Monterey Brand BTk.
I might try some frozen coconut water cultured BTi I made a few yrs ago in a liquid culture or agar to see if it is still viable as well.
Hate gnats. Changes the whole game for any fungal projects, and is a pain in the ass for the green grow as well.

I'll tell you guys what doesn't work ... GoGnat. Makes your tent smell like cedar but that's about it. I've regularly drenched the plants in one of my tents where I've had issues this season and everytime I think it's under control I get another outbreak.

I had luck with gognat actually before I found dunks. Cleared them up after a week or two but I did not care for the cedar closet smell in there for the next two weeks after application. Maybe your chasing them from tent to tent, I only had one room at the time.

No kidding. The crazy part is they're only in one tent. I think they rode in a bag of potting mix I used to transplant into. They were autos so they never left that tent.

But I've hammered them with the gognat, I've got yellow sticky pads, let my medium dry out completely, no standing water, upped my air movement. Pads are still covered in them every few days. I don't know why but I've always been adverse to using diatomaceous earth or sand but I might have to. The infestation seems primarily to be in two plants that are getting the axe soon so im kinda hoping it gets easier to control when they're gone.

Try putting a little bit of the dunks or mosquito bits in with your soil next time at transplant. I've done it like that for a while & have had no gnat issues for a few years now.
