I soak in spring water normally. Sometimes add humic acid and Ruby Fulvic from New Millenium. Up to 24hrs, theoretically, usually between 12 and 18hrs before wet paper towel between plates on cable box. Never have issues with seeds once they pop but recently have had more than normal not do anything. Popped 16 seeds in last 2 weeks and 4 did nothing(2 Legend OG & 2 Blueberry) With three of them my impatience got the better of me and I tormented them to death. One I'm still holding out Hope. Its one of the 2 Blueberry F5's. Really really hope it springs to life. Very impatient with seeds. My Achilles heel.

I like to soak them for a day in shot glass of r.o. water then into damp paper towels. After that I put them between two small glass plates and into a warm place. As long as they stay warm I usually have good luck.
I've been using a led chicken brooder light last year or so to keep them warm. Nearly 100% since. I don't have a pic loaded of it, but it's posted over on the growers hacks thread

Lately I just stick em in coco with an under watering sip system 36 seed starter thing I got for $12 at Lowe's. Or solos, and the same just in the soil.

Used to germ em in water to pop tails first, but have since gotten more simple.
If they pop they pop, if they don't, they don't. Lol.

Often times though I'll use a fingernail file and dust off the bean seam and points a bit before planting.
