Looks like Katsu just took your name Blunt Force Trauma..

I haven't seen it, but I can't say I'm surprised to hear that. It's not the first time something similar has happened and I'm sure it won't be the last time either. I'm turning down all that noise on what everyone else is doing and I'm just focusing on my own projects. To each their own.

If I were to buy a blunt force trauma....birthday cake X 9 pound hammer sounds about right.

:)

Whats in a name.....a bud that provided blunt force trauma by any other name will still have the dense stone.

Here we go @Phylex , approaching 7 days of 12/12 on the Spyralout test run. I have verified 2 females which are the two plants far left in the tent. I have also verified 2 males far right side of the tent in the front and also right side middle in the F&D tote. There are two still unsure plants but it is what it is. I have some clones in green solos and a shrub in a three gallon pot in the middle that were just in case plants to keep the stash full. No issues or funky things going on as expected. I did a light defoliation yesterday to allow more light penetration and air flow to the lowers. No one skipped a beat. I’ll get some more updates when there’s more to look at. Hope everyone is well ? 433073C7-0764-41E0-BC67-2F148623F7E6.jpeg 407A9B9D-FA2A-4E75-AF53-21091EA91821.jpeg F4FA3839-2E7F-48E9-9F5E-657DC50D3C6F.jpeg

Spyralout #4 and #5 both verified males. The other 4 are all female. For a person just wanting females for a sensi run and popping reg seeds these are fantastic percentages, m/f ratio that is. I had an extremely hard time culling this particular plant as his structure and stem rub was what I look for. This was not a breeding endeavor on my part so sadly it got the chop and I’m all girls in the tent. 60E511DC-4D26-4E67-9FB4-3F2EF8AED511.jpeg 06627365-9869-4E1C-BB22-F33C42CDB36D.jpeg 6CC3FB9C-DA88-48D5-8291-4500695201C1.jpeg

I have not touched one leaf on that plant. No toppings, no fims, no trims, no prunes, -no nothing.

Absolutely perfecto.
I will take bud over leaf , 8 days a week.

Totally save some for me,,, but, if you got a minute Phy, think about crack'n off a few of those yourself.
Or just send them all here,, they seem to like 2300 feet. ?

Happy to see it sounds like you like her and she's clearly in great hands. I had/have high hopes for those NH IBL pairings. More so for future breeding stock vs. f1 releases. If anyone is curious about the lineage of Charastar, I pollinated my Darkstar female (Purple Kush x Mazar-I-Sharif) with my selected Nepal Highland IBL male.

Believe me, between you, @Texagonian , @jaguarlax , and @Gentlemancorpse , you guys aren't making it easy to be patient. I really thought it would be of tremendous help if you looked into Charastar for me, Tex with Spyralout, Jag with Darshan, and Gentlemancorpse with Kokusho. But not so much. lol. You guys make it really hard to wait that's for sure. Regardless, I greatly appreciate you all for testing these unreleased lines that are being considered for future breeding stock. We still haven't even scratched Himalayan Moontang yet either. So many directions, so many decisions.

I definitely want to dig through each one to make my selections, but I need the space to hunt through an entire lot individually in one fell swoop. It's hard when rebuilding a library from the bottom up. It takes an incredible amount of time and is slow going for me considering I can only run one or two big hunts per cycle. Currently, I'm still working through the Zamal/Malawi/Thai, Durban, and Skunky D's. On deck are the G13Skunks, and Mango Haze. Once those are completed, hopefully I can then start into the NH IBL crosses. Maybe 2022?

The good news is my female stock could be good as is for awhile. I'm really more focused on finding/creating my stud males before any breeding begins. @Schwaggy P has not only been a great mentor, but he's been helping me tremendously in rebuilding my library. He's graciously blessed my library with these very special cuts; '97 Super Silver Haze (Shantibaba Cut), Chem '91 (SKVA), Josh D OG (original '92 OG Kush), Blue Dream (Santa Cruz Cut), and Strawberry Cough (Kyle Kushman Cut). Once my selections are made, hopefully things can start to pick up. But the process for selecting the right male is a long one. Once a few males are selected from a particular cultivar, I need to test them on different cultivars to evaluate and ensure I'm selecting the right one. This process requires multiple cycles of testing before a final decision is made. Then I can move on to hunt through new cultivars such as the NH crosses you guys are peeking into now.

I truly believe what projects I'm working on and have planned are going to be nothing short of special. While my excitement is barely containable, I need to be patient and stay the course. I'm taking the long road and handling it the way it should always be done. Proper selection, testing, and never rushing to market.

In the interim, you guys have been absolutely amazing and will always be a priority for testers if you ever choose you want to continue testing some of the projects I'm working on before they're released.

? Kind Regards
Phylex

I have admired Dark Star from afar. It was lofty on my to-do list. Imagine my elation when I saw that you had smashed those two together.

Strawberry Cough (Kyle Kushman Cut).

First time this came on my radar I was seeing it on Top 10 potent strain lists.
Bushy O.G , rest his soul, snuck some into his Sour Strawberry. I just happen to be a Diesel, Sour , and Subcool sloot,,, so I had to try these out.

Completely off topic; but I am excited to see what you do with Kushman's strawberry juice.

And now to the task at hand.

When I see evaluations of plants I read things like. "heavy feeder, light feeder nutrient sensitive , non demanding "

I try not to read into it too much because things like this are often manifested by unrelated events.

Just because I can't keep a plant happy that's not to say it is a "heavy feeder".
Just because I burned the crap out of a plant does not mean it is "nutrient sensitive"

I would like to share an observation.
Few dozen plants in there, and some have no tip burn.
LA Dog, for example

I could not tell you what the undercarriage looks like. She is against the wall and packed in tight.
She is taller than 75% of the whole show. She shot up, well above her comrades. I would call that superior vigor , as she outperformed most of the competition, given the same circumstances.

As promised, here’s my update @Phylex . First are #1&#2 on the left side of the tent. They are almost carbon copies as far as color and structure. 6B47EF0C-8ED1-47CB-AF4B-31562222244C.jpeg B10B42FF-9CD4-4C60-8DE1-A4629A97741F.jpeg 1237A1E0-178E-4C59-B2F2-C65A320FF89A.jpeg Next are #4&#6 They are different from the other two in various ways. #4 is light green like 1$2 but is a smidge wider and is the only one of the bunch with double serrations on the leaves. Almost lime green in color and loud on the stem rub. I’ll touch base on smells in a moment.

All are beautiful and the smells I’m getting are sour, dank, something close to a stinky gym bag and even a little sweet almost berry on the end. I’m so looking forward to seeing them in a couple weeks with some more progress. 9FC283F9-1AA7-4289-8779-D6FF54201621.jpeg AEE19438-5C8F-4399-8C53-D9A61C152318.jpeg

They're looking awesome @Texagonian . I can see the heavier BCK influence in #1 and #2 while #4 and #6 appear to have more of the structure from the NH male.

BFT or at least the one I ended up with looked almost identical to #6.

BCK was a stout, very lush, and Kush like plant. Her inner-nodal spacing was tight, with minimal lateral branching when left untrained. She would produce forearm size colas depending on veg time and very 'hashy.' She was also a very vigorous girl. Not in the sense of height, but her will to live and grow. She thrived with training and never skipped a beat. If you super cropped her or topped her, she would focus her energy into her lateral side branching and training wouldn't slow her growth. She also rooted exceptionally easily. She is also a heavier yielder.

BFT was the pairing of BCK and 9lb. Hammer. One of my intentions with this pairing was adding a little height and stretching her out. The 9lb. Hammer male contributed to more natural, lateral growth.

The Nepal Highland male used in this current pairing was selected solely on stem rub and structure. It wasn't extremely tall and lanky like most of the other males. It was the shortest male and even shorter than most of the females. His structure was impeccable. The perfect Christmas tree with excellent inner-nodal spacing. He also had thinner leaves and a strong stem rub. Of the ones pictured above, #4 (light green) is the strongest visual representation of the NH father. #6 also appears to resemble the father the most. He's just a little taller and a little more spaced out. Nice specimens to evaluate nonetheless.
