AWESOME thread. i will watch you grow them out and it may influence my future purchases of some mesh bags.

My favorite fabric bag is the GrassRoots MADE IN USA Lined planters. i have 5/7/10/20/30 and a 45 and they are incredibly well made...the plastic lining on the top 80% fixes most of the watering BS problems.

I am sure these guys make 5s...and i would run a 5 of coco... :O

I will be watching....To be Honest....I like those the BEST....the smiling budha dude...SOLD
Just checked out the Grass Roots - never heard of them, and I'm loving the idea of that liner!!!! Threw a few in a cart to sit. We'll see if they email a coupon.....?

GC - just thought I'd drop this here for anyone searching in the future.

The body of the RainScience bags have held up just fine, but the handles are disintegrating in their 2nd outdoors season. Seems like a different material was used. No biggie, but if someone was on the fence about adding that option, they're not necessary, and don't last outside.

That's definitely good to know. They don't even look particularly durable. I didn't get handles on any of mine.

I would say that is definately different material and the reason it is failing...I did a test with air pots in a pot in pot set up with drip and the roots were best I ever had in this style grow. The Rain Science pots will last many seasons for sure with this style!

Pot in pot is basicly a pot buried in the ground and the plant in a pot that fits the buried one...substituting a 5 gal. rain science instead of another nursery pot the results were very promising.
