Grow hacks ... Post em if you got em

Chunky Stool

Plant Destroyer
If you think that FG's are entering your nursery pots, I put a quart or medium in the bottom and then cover that with a pint of EWC. I build my pot as normal and add another pint of EWC under my mulch on the top of the pot. I have tons of fresh EWC and so I use it liberally.
It definitely helps to put something relatively inert on the very bottom and top so the fungus gnats can't feed on it. Usually just plain ol peat moss or coco on the bottom and mulch or mature compost/EWC on top.

My best grow hack is good old fashioned elbow grease and GAF . And that's proven. All the very best. Here are the ones that put the most work in.
Yup. I get thinking because I have knowledge, I don't have to put in the effort and it bites my ass every time.

It's a downward spiral too. I get lazy, my garden suffers, which makes me not want to mess with it.

Here's my grow hack.

F cloneX!! Dip n grow!!!!

Take a peak at the ingredient list and compare the 2. DnG is 10.00 for a 59ml bottle. Good for almost 30 cloner runs (2ml/cloner).

Aero cloner hack
Tap water! 2ml concentrate (dip n grow) per 2.5g water (what my cloner holds).
Ph to 5.8-6.0
Cycle timer (3mins on/3mins off)
4' T8 led tubes/light
I also add veg nutes (25% to the cloner water). You can wait for root nibs to pop, or add now. The nutes won't be available to the clones until they pop roots. But I'm lazy, and do it at once.

I NEVER do a water change. I only top off with 5.8 tap water as needed. 9-12 days later and they are ready to uppot.

I've been cloning for nearly 10yrs. I've tried it all. This is the most time saving way I've found. I can manage and run 12x 25 site Aero cloners at a time with ease! It's all about repetitive work and following a strict SOP each and every run.

Tap water replaces the pool shock I see lots of growers using. Imo, and it's just my opinion, it's more work and $ spent and not needed.

Cleaning your cloners.....
Rinse everything off under fresh tap. Take the mister rail off the pump, rinse thoroughly. Put back together. Fill with tap, put ALL of the neoprene collars and the net pots INTO the cloner. I add 1/3rd cup bleach to the water. Place garbage bag over cloner top, set grid (thing the net pots/neoprene pucks/clone sit in) over the bag, and fold the bag edges over the top. This keeps the cloner water in the cloner. Run continuously for 24hrs.
Dump bleach water and RINSE VERY WELL!!!!
Add 1/2 bottle of 3% h2o2 and fill with water. Cover with garbage bag, and grid like above. Run continuously for 24hrs.
Take apart, and let dry fully.

I'm at a 99.99% success rate for cloning. I may lose 1 out of 500 clones.

I really hope mine come out like this, did much shorter stems, RH is up and cloner running with tap @ 1 min on 3 min off. I didn't PH it though so might change it out for fresh water tomorrow.

Two stage starter pots PXL_20230619_183837204.jpg fill bottom of pot , nestle cup, fill up sides with regular potting/ super soil and tamp down. Remove cup leaving hollow. PXL_20230619_183845447.jpg PXL_20230619_183905089.jpg backfill with seed starting mix. Plant seed and water in. PXL_20230619_183921390.jpg seedling will have gentle start and will quickly adapt to the stronger soil as roots reach it. I am not the originator of the tech but I love, use, and share it.

How long should I wait for the clones roots to get? I went ahead and put a few singles into root riot cubes with some myco that had established roots already. Will need to slow em down so trying to not to feed with nutes

For more light or nutes? Light, I put them in a moss block, and a clear cup, and then put the clear cup in a different color one. Once I see roots reach the side of the clear one, I know they're ready.

For nutes, I wait like two weeks and give them a taste to see how they handle it.
