Grow light for my closet

I mean, they'll all grow weed. My issue with companies like growstar is they're just drop shipping, so you have no recourse if they die after the Amazon return window. Never trust Amazon reviews btw. Most people leave reviews the day they open the box.... that doesn't mean much if they die a month later. Personally if I was gonna drop $225 on lights there's just other routes I'd go. Even with Mars at least there's a real company behind the lights.

Did you ever grab the full dimensions of your closet btw? I'm not sure you need 300w in there anyways.
If it's too much then me wants 300 watts. I have 7ft. Height, 77" width, and well, a full 2ft of width if you dont count the edge of the closet opening on either side.

I'll add on to this and say, if you dig the hlg lights and don't need them pre assembled for insurance or something, it's about half the price to assemble it yourself.

(With the 10% coupon that's always there) $167

$61

The xlg-240 runs about $40, but I can't remember off the top of my head which one is the right match.

+ About $10-15 at the hardware store for a power lead, bell wire, pack of wagos, and some eye bolts to hang from

Really only takes 15-20 minutes to slap together. Your not gonna get the plastic jumper covers like the pre-assembled, but that's not really a big deal imo.

Thanks so much for all the healthy alternatives my led users, I think I might take that route. Is there anything I should know about purchasing this stuff on ebay or some other .com? Is it going to take weeks and possibly months to arrive?

I'm rocking a 6 part diy led basics course to learn my kung foo then I want to make a passively cooled string of COBs or QBs with cobs on the sides?. Maybe I'll make everyone proud.

It's really not too much now that we see your dimensions. (13ft² give or take) 23W/ft² give or take.

I'm running about 275W in my 4'x2' (8ft²) right now, and I have plenty more power if I need it. (About 165W more)
Centre light only running at around 75W.

I'm able to keep it between 24-25°C with barely an effort, even when cranked up a little more.

It's definitely not too much, that Mars. It wouldn't be enough for me and the way I like to overpower things lol!

I might even do the QB96 option someone suggested with that space. Damn good lights.

You have plenty of great suggestions. Best of luck with whatever you decide.

Thank you @Badmofo529 and everyone who recommended HLG because I think that's where I want to be. How the hell are you bringing up a menu I can't see if I may ask???
I had the same problem with my phone. But never on my tower..that's why I haven't posted anything with a link...

If you want to go hlg and put it together.. we will get you the link's but it may take till tomorrow cause I'll have to wifi a tower to do it...

Unless one of these guys want to just make you a list...

I loved the ebay stuff now because I see that the "kits" at hlg do not come with their own drivers and I'm promptly scared away?
