Grow light for my closet

I've been doing some heavy digging and figured I should ask for some help here. I've only done small grows with a 2×3 space and a single cheap led panel, also cfls. Being somewhat disappointed with my coming yields of late, I'm in the market for a grow light with a maximum cost of a full priced ounce of weed($200 to $400 I'll say) and so there are many more options.
The closet is only 20" in depth with all the vertical height I need after removing the top shelf so choosing just the right light or configuration has been tricky.

Lights i've considered are:

Advanced platinum series
Spectrum king mph
HLG 65 V2
Mars reflector hoods 2000w
Spider Farmer reflector hoods 2000w

If you have any recommendations, I want them please. I have a soldering kit to make my own light but I'd need to google step by step instructions to construct one for myself.

Thx farmers.

A long, rectangular style board would do well.

I bet about 240W of actual draw would do you well in that space. It looks like about 3.5' wide. Maybe 7 ft²? Somewhere in there?

Something like a Mars TSL-2000 (300W actual draw) would smoke that spot and give you coverage from one end to the other, and more power than you need, meaning you can run it at a lower draw and still have the intensity you need, but also easy heat control.

A TSL-2000 is going for $399 CDN on Amazon(dot)ca, so with exchange, it should be in your price range. Also the TSL-2000 comes with a $20 coupon right now, at least on Amazon Canada.

That's what I'd look for, a nice long rectangular design, with 240-300W (actual draw). The TSL-2000 is just an example, but there are others with that similar design

Actually, doing some math, that may be a little too much. But I'd still look for a rectangular style.

I'm betting that closet is no more than 4-4.5' wide?
So I think maybe max, 180-200W?

Hard to tell without actual dimensions though

So I'd look for a rectangular board that puts me at a minimum of 30W/ft² (actual draw).

When I get a chance, I'll take all the measurements I just know somehow lol, that its 20 inches in depth.

You would have a fantastic light. It would smoke that area. Extremely versatile. If too warm, lower the wattage, lower the light. If too cool, lift the light, turn the wattage up.

If you have the money now, I'd snag up the best deal you can find on it.

And a great light to expand your setup in the future.

Overkill? Sure. Worth it? Absolutely.

So there you are when I need you? DONE DONE DONE. I'm getting it but it'll need to wait until January. And I love the idea of adding supplemental lighting, maybe cfls or strips for that extra kicker.
