I think that it is fairly well known that plants like classical music while growing. Today's tip is how not to supply the music to the grow room. I thought i was slick putting alexa in the grow room. Every morning i tell her to play classical music and before lights out i would tell her to stop the music. What i did not realize was when she would lose a connection to the internet during the dark period would result in it flashing a blue light to establish the connection. The results of that was nanner city. Luckily this round i think i found the majority before they could open. My last crop was seeded pretty bad. Live and learn! 6 weeks GG4,GP4,Mac, WD1&2 alexa 035.JPG

I almost did a similar thing with a new fan I'd got for the room.
It had a little blue light that backlit the button on the side, and was dim enough to not show when the lights were running.
Just happened to be there when lights went out and saw this little glow.
Case can be opened and little wire to the led snipped if you can get to it.
Same for power bars too.

A lesser known fact about music and weed plants. If you're making seeds, you need to set the mood for a successful co-mingling of sex dust and the desirous pistils looking for love. About an hour before lights out is optimal time to initiate foreplay. I use dimable ballasts, so the lights get turned down.

It is important to choose make out music that your strains can identify with, groove with, and mate with. This can be the toughest challenge, as not all Bruces like Barry White, and not all Shirleys dig Cetera. For those yet to achieve Love Doctor status, a safe choice that guarantees passionate giving and receiving of sex dust is attached.

Give the female about 15 minutes of Lovage, to where she's literally begging for a male release aimed her way. At the end of track 4, tease the shirleys . Pretend to release the dust, but at the last moment, pull it back. Repeat, as Lovage , low light, and the musky smell of dust combine to drive her crazy. At the beginning of track 6 - "Sex [I'm a Victim]" - let her have it in a big way. Two happy endings should be achieved before the cd ends, lights go out, and babies begin. As you leave the room, you may detect the smell of burning Marlboros. This is normal, and is confirmation that your pollination session was successful.

I have a TV in my veg room and use the classical masterpieces channel when Im not in there. Generally have Black Sabbath radio going on Pandora otherwise. My plants are exposed to music that may be more of a detriment then anything else though. Not sure they like Ministry or Pantera. Should make them want to grow through the roof, makes me feel like I could run through walls. That kind of music is my cocaine.

The boiling point of 60% propylene glycol is 255F. When using hydronic heat managmemt (led light) it is probably a good idea to have a high temp shut off just in case the power supply for the pump fails. Luckilly I was in the room, noticed bubbles in the tubing, hysterically unplugged everything on the liquid loop, and it was dim day yesterday with only 300W, no red and no uv in the flower room. Lost 2 banks of fans and the power supply, got the hydronics up and running but need another solution for air circulation now. Probably took a few hours off the leds lives.

Love reading post that show how little I know. What the hell is hydronic heat management?
Me too! I had to read it a couple of times and still did not understand. LOL

@SSGrower is the propylene glycol a cooling liquid? Also is that the same chemical used as a cutting agent for mixing THC oil?

most people call it water cooling, but since the universe is cooling that is kind of a redundant statement.

I choose pg vs. Ethylen glycol because of the toxicity, I think you are right capt, I feel like vegetable glycerine would be the better choice, but no I don't vape.

Rage against the machine and Pig Whistle...yeah so that is a bad idea.

Angry ass weed. I didnt know there was such a thing. It ended up being 20% of all my edibles for a while but every now and then...i would sneak a doob and rage against the machine.

Gentler music for sativas but rock them indicas.... Tool brings out the wake me up in some dense stones ....allegedly.

Grow room tip....green painters tape and sharpies...right that shit down on your pots. Strain...12 12 date and 60 days added so you have an idea when its getting there. Or confirm what you are seeing as true (they are looking ripe...day 57 etc).

Today's tip - sulfur vaporization.
Be very careful. The correlations between a 1000 sq. ft. greenhouse, needed vaporization rates/ammount and a < 100 sq. ft. garden are not linear. If they were I could have done just one hr and the maths would have worked. As it stands the 1hr was not enough, 2 hrs may have been right if I had the temp a little higher (I did not do the maths on this), 3.5 hrs. If not effective in irradicating the issue, may have been the unrecoverable error.

I am planning ro prune all leaves that have the spots on them. They are the reason I did the 1st burn, they were nowhere near as prevalent last night before the burn and they seem to be limited to the 2 primary suspect plants thst are further into flower than the rest. I have not even been in the room for more than 5 min right now I am finding zen.

What is it you were trying to eradicate? I think I must've missed that part.
