Growing anything other than weed?

My reactions are not coming up so everything is a like but it is what it is. Anyway, first lily of the season ?. So when I moved northwards I thought i would lose my lilies. Damnit if my love didn't help me dig these bitches up and take them with us. Amazing man. Anyway, I really thought that with the stress of the transplant they would bloom and I'd just be replanting the bulbs for next year. Damn if they aren't blooming and i love it.

Do you have them growing thru chain link? I tried putting up some wires like they use in vineyards & they are kinda getting the hang of it. I cant go thru my fencing, the horse & llamas next door munch everything that grows thru the fence... except nightshade, idk if they knew it was a poisonous variety but once I found out what it was I dug that shiz up & tossed it.

Mine are all in rows with 2 cables at knee and head high. Weaving into a fence will only make life harder down the line. They only produce berries on 2nd year canes. Anything with berries, you want to cut off at the ground and it will grow a new cane that will have berries next year. To fill in your fence line, you can put the tip of any branch growing on a new cane in the dirt and in a month you will have a new plant. I have found that if you leave the new plant connected to the mother plant until the following spring, you will get a near 100% survival rate. I tie mine to the top cable with plant ribbon.

Nice! That makes sense about the chainlink & having to cut them back. I'll have to tie them up top & train a little more, yours look like monsters!

Had a fire on my property line, the neighbor was grinding something & caught the grass & fence on fire. Everything in that corner of the yard burned & died. After the fire trucks left I found a single 3 inch piece of ice plant that used to keep the hillside from eroding away right there. Put it in a pot & just water when I think about it & it's now about two square feet. I'm trying to motivate it to spread to new pots so I can cover the little hillside again before the rain this year.

You can just stick chunks of this plant where ever you want it to grow. Leaves that fall of mine have rooted in 12in deep gravel. No shit.

I want to get rid of my front lawn and grow more veggies but wifey said no. Heres some of the garden. 20200603_133033.jpg 20200603_133026.jpg 20200603_133019.jpg tons of different stuff. The artichokes are going off this year. The big bushy thing in the middle pic is some fennel that i wild harvested on a trip to the bay area. Love me some fennel pollen dusted anything.

Amen. I pay to water it, pay to feed it and keep it green, mow it once week and in return i get a lil free nitro for the compost. I could feed half my neighborhood if i converted my lawns. Still get tons of nitro and carbon for compost. Eat like a king and feed the neighbors too.
