I did 2 quarts of bells the other day. Peppers are kicking some ass this year!! But here come those pole beans...........like a lb a day right now off 2 plants and there are many more stagger planted out there......It's going to be ab epic year for beans!!

Meanwhile, the corn patch took a beat down from 2 days of heavy hurricane rain.......knocked them flat fro being top heavy in the wind. I re-supported them with some clothesline.........just in time for the hurricane bs that's about to open up in an hour.
Cukes....good year......getting cuke beetle damage now..end is near
Sweet Potatoes...who knows really, they are all in planters.they are healthy but I really expected more foilage
Winter Squash.......vine borers decimated everything but I'll get a dozen assorted out of the deal
Tomatoes...... many of the beefsteaks are giving up, but the cherries, and opalkas are over 7' and still growing
Sunflowers.........been a boom year
Chard.........boom year
Lettuce.......so much we couldn't look at it, lol..........the 2nd round is ready for harvest now!
Onions.......waste of time, might replant them again, puny. Also debating seed, I think I may do better there.
Radishes......did hundreds and looking for places to start sticking in the fall crop now
Scallions......first year and they did well. I really like having these around both to eat fresh and cook with.
Strawberries......... not bad for what I had in the ground.., focusing on transplants to a new bed.
Raspberries.......training the canes for next year. Epic harvest this year.
Summer squash.........a bust due to borers. I have some started later, still in the game.
Pumpkins......initial ones are eaten by borers but latter ones actually look good

That's the state of the garden for 2021............I'm gonna give a 6.5 of 10 rating ;)

20210820_195208.jpg Limbs broke on the banana pepper, so I guess there ready lol some are a little green but not to bad. Last couple jars I made of pepperocinis I put a couple of the thai dragons split in there, it gave them just a little bit of heat and cut the sweet back. Me and my buddy agree that is the way to do it. Also have been drying out the thai dragons to grind up. 20210820_195212.jpg 20210822_114917.jpg

Tobasco plant has started to turn and so has the scotch bonnet. 20210822_115436.jpg

I'm over 150 harvested so far. I ground up the 111 I had dried. 20210822_150345.jpg
It's a creeper, so ready for chili season.

Getting ready to start harvesting the tobasco, tobasco orange has become one of my favorite colors. The tobasco can produce very vivid colors. 20210831_072418.jpg 20210831_072437.jpg

I hope it's ok to revive an older thread.
I have a Frangi Pangi, Plumeria, plant from a friend that passed away like 10+ years ago.
Last year, I could barley get it indoors, as the 10 gallon pot, is so heavy. But she can not over winter in my area, outdoors.
So, I had to cut her back hard like this fall/winter period. Went to You Tube, found a 9 year old, tutorial, and followed their words.
Of course, I can not leave well enough alone, and used some items I'm comfortable using.
A few days, I found growth sign, in a few of my stumps!!
I'll put a snap up of my veggie/flower starter garden down stairs.
Hope you enjoy!

Ok I do not have the pics of the green stumps of Plumeria, that may be rooting. This was day 1 of preparation. I'll post it later today.

Hell ya awesome! I wanna get some non weed plants in my garden sometime in the near future. And the older post thing. That’s the beauty of our forum. There are so many posts of great experiences and gems they never die, they can be dug up again. Reviving old stuff is highly encouraged! Just like you’re doing w your plants ?

Heck ya mang, grow it and post it. Love seeing gardens of all sorts.
Feel free to resurrect any thread you want to. Lots of great topics to delve into here, and any new insight/thoughts are more than welcome.
Do i see Morning Glories in some of those cups? So pretty when they bloom.

Heres a croton i grew, now transplanted to the upstairs.

And here it is in its happy home next to the tub. Grew it for my GF's birthday present.
8 months growing it from a clone cut, and kept it secret the whole time. Lol

Do it mang. Grow it. I'd check it out if you do it. Good to show yer boy how to grow food.
Built some large planters for the backyard, and filled them with soil over the weekend.
Not sure if I'll do pretty stuff, or food stuff in them.
Maybe do a salsa garden in one. Peppers and tomatoes and such.
Maybe a strawberry patch in the other, for a smoothie patch. Lol

Thank you, I'll keep on then, to finish the plumeria jive. These when they bloom, explode with a delicious scent! It took a couple of years to get her to flower, but once I craked her code, she started to produce flowers. I do not think my food mix is perfect yet, but I'm closing in on her.
WOW did I ever have a mess in pic folders, as in unlabeled, unloved, and misplaced.

So yes I'm begging that the root goddess is doing her thing as the tops are showing greening nubbins .
I Last time I rooted any, I got 2 from 6 sticks I tried to root. These gave me roots much quicker. I did burn weep holes, about a good 1"-1'5" up from the bottom of the cups, a poor mans resevoir of sorts. With the coco husks, in there, I gave them so rooting tea once, and some aloevera about 2 weeks ago.
Got a long way to go yet.

Very nice, and thank ya for the propagation info!
Our pastor has a very large plumeria and wants to cut it back because it's so large, and I've always wanted a start from it.

Oh yes, probably the first plant I grew out with my grandmother as child, maybe they were I got the green drive from, bless her. Some of my most earliest memories, are sitting on the front porch, early in the morning, in the springtime morning sun, with her glories running up both the side of the porch,, and smelling the flowers,.
So my wife asks if we can grow some, I'm like Oh hell yeah!!
14 cups prepared to run!!

Hey SDF, if you cut it, tie a cloth band under the cut area, it will bleed a white milky juice, so I tied cloth strips in the 4 places I cut from the donar plant. mine gushed a good bit of that stuff. The cuttings can be in the dark, while rooting, just no prolonged wet feet.

Thats a beauty of a plant, love the bright colors. What kind of scent does it have, flowery, fruity, or a mix? Thats crazy how the stump will root like that.
I have a pc of a jade plant that was courtesy of the cats antics in a cup of water rooting atm. Roots coming from the broken branch pc is neat to watch, life will find a way. lol

Hey Awesome Sauce, love those house plants!! I recently made an Aloe extract and the results in rooting and small plant building are just amazing to me. I'm only a month into it so far.
The Plumeria or Frangipani, is very floral perfumed, a deep fragrance, it just oozes from her.
After a light rain, we go to where it is standing out back, to smoke one.
Due to the scent that is held close to it, by the denser humidity, as it just envelopes you.
It's such a diversity of smells, burning rope and strong perfume.
It can get over powering at times for me, when the flowers are cranking.
UncleB, those are STUNNING!! Desert Blue Bells!! I'll be on the look out for seeds of them!
