This is where breeding terminology really falls apart for me. This and differentiating between an open and selective pollination in new filial generations. Like, if you open pollinate to make an F2 and then selective pollinate from two plants of that generation is the next generation an F3?

And in your case, is it a BX if it doesn't necessarily share a direct parent?

In both cases the unique nature of the F2 parental doners kind of make a Punnett square a challenge

I think it might be an incross because you’d be hitting the progeny with the parent

Yep that be an f3 . And u gotta use original parent for bx . And I think idle is right it’s would be a Ix. Wish I could elaborate lol .

I think that would make it a BX. It's just uncommon in cannabis breeding to BX to the father but it's still the same idea right?

But it's weird I guess because when you BX usually your taking pollen from the most recent filial generation and hitting the female parent. In this case it's the other way around but genetically speaking I think it's the same idea?

I’d just call it a dank chuck and be done with it lol. Honestly though I’d lust label it exactly as that and let the end user come to their own conclusion. F3 x F2

But i am thinking of an all male tent area too...open pollination is the bestust lazy mans game but selective male stock is necessary for me to enjoy the pursuit..
