Had a bunch of dry sift laying around so I turned it into this little hash cigar. Kinda wanna just light one end and start puffing but it went into a bag to cure for a few months.

This is rosin....made from Cannarado Grape Gelee hash

160 F 5 minutes...1 minute preheat...1 minute to get it to pressure (4 ton so its all finesse baby, oh and i have NONE so that is a blob of hash on the right but juice on the left).

Smoked too much in a crack banger and i think i have to lie down... I am very impressed.

The hash was dry...i made patties and did a bottle decarb. A 750ml bottle (a 5th i think?) works PERFECT. IT is glass.

I worked it in a turkey bag..i cut it in pieces for bottle decarb. These are wrapped and put away.

the 2 small pieces are 45 to 90 (one is Holy War X Lemon Tree X sunday driver and a pea sized piece has lasted me 2 days so far), and the other one is purple punch, AC X Adub and something else. Very strong..not so frantic a buzz.

So i figured that would be the good stuff...the pure melt. The 6 gram piece is the 90 to 160....and that is a very nice piece of hash. I put a lighter to it and it bubbles.

I think i will keep making bubble. I am going to get the straight hose and do that mod with a spigot so you can FILL the washer to the top. IT kind of sucks it wont hold that top gallon. I like that I can run 6 oz at a time...get around 1 oz of hash. And its not like you can smoke a 2 gram joint of it OMG its crazy shit.

I think that's actually what I was getting at - the 45 is too "clean". It's potent, but IMHO very one dimensional.
A pure 73u temple ball is usually a heavy medication for me - happy, groggy head and a full body stone.
Second run 73 isn't quite as good, but still in the "Very nice" category.
1st run 160u is super stony, almost never rolls into a nice ball (breaks up a lot). Usually ends with a nap.
2nd run 160 is for edibles - I beat the crap out of the material until it's obviously green.
--- I use a little water in the butter - debris & vegetable matter fall to the bottom as it cools (still a small layer of fine silt in the final product, doesn't bother me...)

Great thread. I've got to give this a go. I'm in the middle of a harvest today. Now I know why some people call it: Trim Jail. Should I freeze my trim and small buds or dry and store? I'm still waiting on 1 plant to finish and will need to order a machine and bags. If you have any recommendations, that would be great. ✌️✌️

Great question.

The quality of product that goes in directly impacts the quality of what comes out.

If it hurts a little to toss the bud in the hash bin, it will make good hash.

Decarbing and eating even the lowest quality hash is an option.

Fresh frozen gives cleaner product but lower yields.

I have rosin evolution bags and like them better than the first set of brand ICR bags I had.

Thanks, I don't mind quality over quantity. I will check out the rosin evolution bags. I'd rather buy something good and be done. Hate replacing or upgrading if I can help it. I still have to learn about decarbing, but I have a feeling the info is here on PH. First hand knowledge. PRICELESS!

I know exactly what you mean and I have in fact overloaded the family freezer with future combustibles with the resulting bitchfest and one of the things I like about the dry ice method is I don't have to use the freezer at all.....

85 for a 45 90 160 220. And my hash improved immeditely over using the amazon bags because you can rinse your hash off..wash it til the green is gone and it just tan.

i use the 45 160 220 I might try a 90 to see if it goes melty but i love the full spectrum 45 to 159.

A 25 is nice but it is also a clogging pita. I take my hash plants into the amber zone so they have bigger fatter resin heads and that 25 bag...it is no loss. My last 2 oz run there was about 1/2 a gram of 25 after all the runs. I leave it in for the duration (and collect the 45....the 160 is green crappy garbage usually and the 220 is a catcher).

I do not use a work bag in the washer.

some of my best runs were a good stir stick in a clean 5 gallon bucket....pour through the bags.

It is a lot gentler than a hash washer and you can make a much better product.

1 inch PVC pipe about 3 feet long is all you need...i have a collapsable boat oar.

if you do dry trim and buds you can use a sieve to dry your hash (after you wash it and have it on the 25 micron thing...you can push it through a sieve with the back of a spoon onto parchment paper to dry, in a pizza box or something like it).

Microplane is great for fresh frozen that stuff will glue up a sieve more than it will let through it.

But to me that is the minimum
4 bag set for 85
5 gallon bucket
Good stir thingme
Drain frames for your bags to hold them. I use a bucket with a drain hole on the side (a repurposed bubble bucket) and 2 tops from a bucket cutout. 25 goes in the bucket, first frame gets the 45. 2nd frame gets the 160 down low and the 225 rolled up higher..
Simple...cheap...and it can make the best hash you can make.

The ice was mostly around the perimiter, the other bags were still dripping. I let the garage warm up a touch before continuing (closed the door).

you will have no issues with temp - just let it dry abit - meaning one can press any temp product (no frozen stuff) but best to wait till dry after bubbling - I perfer dry ice - easy, simple and can press right after you make it, unless you want to cure it

No press here but I am doing a temple ball with the 120-73 fraction. I let it stay cold not freezing overnight and chopped it up a few times. But yeah that is what I was worried about is how it would dry.

I took all the great advice and put it to use. A big , Hell yeah! and thank you, to the PH crew. It smells and tastes great. It will definitely turn a bad day, into a awesome evening.
