Okay, Sunday update time. You can see last week in post #10 in this thread.

Here are the 2 C99xBB in the back row, with the OG Kush front left and the White Widow on the front right.

Here's two more pics of a couple cuts. I like experimenting and challenging myself, so sometimes I try to root the tiny little clipping after I top a plant.

Here's the top of the first C99xBB, it took 3 weeks but it is finally throwing roots and new growth.

And here's the top of the OG kush after 13 days. It's still trying and looks like it may survive. I don't see any of this as failure or success, whether root or wither, just as another opportunity to learn.

Photos are displaying all squashed again. Only here, not on the hosting site or anywhere else they get shared.
?
I sincerely apologize, I didn't see @Capt. C tag on me, sometimes notifications get buried deep and I miss some.

I am not sure what is going on but I believe our resolution is set to 1920x1080 (1080p). We also strip all EXIF data upon upload for that extra security and peace of mind for our members, IDK if some of this data may be associated with this?

Maybe we can experiment. PM me one of those pics. Then I'll try some tests to see if we can figure this out.

Thanks @spyralout
I already strip the exif data, so it isn't that.
I am uploading to Pixelfed, an open source image hosting service, and linking from there. I'll take a guess that your software and Pixelfed aren't playing nice, since the photos display properly on other forums and on my own personal pages.

Strange. I just went through the thread and the various photos that looked squashed when posted, and for days after, now look correct.
Very strange. We also run image optimization here for quality/space/performance/efficiency purposes, and it sweeps through photos a chunk at a time to not take up bandwiwdth and slow down the user experience. So maybe that could be involved? But then again it's not hosted here so those photos wouldn't be touched, it's just a link. IDK too much about this stuff, but it could be a clue. At any rate I appreciate the linking to the image hosting source, it helps conserve our hosting bandwidth and server space as well.

I see the last photos now display correctly. Anybody figure out what's going on, or is it just the ghost in the machine doing randoms fixes? :mesmerizied:

Anyway, the flower tent is getting filled up again. Here's the previous C99 x BB 12 days later(White Widow in the background). I keep trying and failing to get a closeup that does the trichs justice. The sweet fruit/berry smell is only getting better. Grape, blueberry and strawberry are all present as well as some as yet unidentified hints.

Here's a White Widow from a $5 Seedsman bean that's been in a drawer for 4+ years on 41f. She was a bit slow to transition but starting to stack up and frost up nicely. I don't know how these genes compare to the original and have my eye on a couple different reg versions in hopes of finding out. (L13 and JOTI offer their version) I recall the buzz being nice and I really enjoy the smell of this strain.

I'm thinking tomorrow is sex day for a clone of my Cindy keeper. She was supposed to be small but while I looked away she ballooned into a decent bush. Plan was to hit the whole plant with one type of pollen but I'd end up with thousands of seeds that probably wouldn't get grown so plan has changed.

I'm thinking a branch gets hit with pollen from a C99xBB F1, a branch with JOTI OG Kush, and maybe one with L13 Romulan. Other than the backcross, the other two are just because I can rather than as part of any actual plan. There's a few more boys in the vault as well, so who knows what I'll end up deciding.

I'm figuring when the Neville's Haze finally gets around to flowering I'll hit a branch of her with something as well, probably PSBC Sweet Skunk. I thought about crossing her with Cindy, but that seemed like mating a chihuahua with a great dane. The SS at least has a 10 week flower as opposed to C99's 7-8.

Here's Cindy after getting her grove on. See what I mean about her getting bigger than needed for a little seed run? That's a wallyworld 3kg margerine container, likely <1 Gal capacity. They make great hempys for small tents.
So this is after 22 days of veg and this is day 22 of flower. I try to hit Cindy as early as possible to let the seeds finish by the time the plant is done. Sometimes I screw up my experiment doesn't work as planned and I pollinate too early. Hopefully that didn't happen today. :)

The White Widow is rear left on 43f and one of my crosses rear right on 39f.

Here's the girls in the perpetual 3x3 today. It's not a standard shape photo, so you'll probably have to check back in a week to see it properly. ;)

And since I'm posting, here's the latest of the C99xBB. The Cindy is really becoming apparent in the bud shape and spacing. Please excuse the nute burn on the tips.

No photos today.

The restarted perpetual 3x3 is progressing as planned:

My C99xBB cross is about 10 days from the finish line. This pheno's looking like an ~8 week finisher(I'm guessing 58 days). I'm still loving everything about her. The size, shape, smell, quantity, ease of cloning, lack of fussiness(always a concern when Blueberry is involved). The bud shows both parents but is not identical to either, it has it's own shape.

The ol' White Widow Fem that took a while to get going is looking like it will produce some massive donkey dong colas, relative to plant size. Two or three weeks left for her.

My White Widow x Northern Lights (noticing a bit of an old-school theme to my garden?:rastajoint:) F1 is looking really good. A bit leafier than I'd like.

The C99 keeper that was hit with OG Kush pollen and C99xBB pollen is thriving. Too early to see any seed development yet.

The other flower tent has a few more plants, with the only noteworthy one being the Neville's Haze. Day 26 of flower, stretching but not uncontrollably, looking really nice, with maybe a desire for nitrogen. Gonna let her be unless a problem develops.
----------------

In veg, along with some clones, are two new strains. A Purple Kush that is a short, stocky plant in the fourth week of veg; just took a clone and will be hoping for a girl. The second strain is one that I harvested once and have been kicking myself for not taking some cuts, Strawberry from the Saskatchewan Seed Company(same source as the purple kush). Was really impressed with the buds, especially for $25/pk seeds. If I'm lucky, I'll find the same pheno without too much searching.
