There is no solution. Read that link.......and you'll see they are advising to kill insects that might be causing it. They advise doing that while working on breeding resistant strains.Oh man that's it! I'll have to dig up a solution to this problem...Thanks man. I dug all over the net and came up dry.. couldn't even find a pic to match..Much appreciated @HydroRed
Ya I read over that link..when I broke the news to my Uncle he's now debating cutting them down as he has plants close that are showing no signs of this..However he said the leafhoppers are thick this year and in the same sentence said he would never treat for bugs as he never has in the past..He's a old cat set in his ways ..Good info tho...I definitely never knew anything about this..He was about to bring me some Afghani 1 clones he's been raving about..man I don't even want emThere is no solution. I think @TerpyTyrone or possibly @High kev may have had it, but I don't recall for sure. I had a pic that was similar to what you postd...........I chopped as I was worried about anything else getting it.
This decimated me the last few wet years. Some grew out of it once they hit late valet and early flower, others didnt. This year has been very dry. It helped keep the slugs away too. The people around here call it a blight. This year my run will be savage. As long as I scare the rippers away! Thats in an outdoor 2022 thread. I hope u grow out of it!After a lil digging I found it:
Google "purple top phytoplasma cannabis" and you will see plenty of examples that are an exact mirror of the symptoms that @HBZ farms uncle is experiencing. Seems to be mainly a North American issue in outdoor that has risen in occourance over the last 10 years or so.

The plant is very small, unknown volunteer but not seen anything like it from potential parents or siblings. Temperature swings, yes upper seventies/eighties mid forties, afternoon rain and hail too so sometimes a real quick cool off and wetter.
Thoughts?
wow whatcha know i see a outdoor top thats doing that
Only top and only that plant. Its been getting in 50’s at night and 80’s in the day. 30 degree diff is a lil of swing too its just majroity of outdoor are going crazy in groweth

Regalia was added to the outdoor IPM Sunday AM. Not for this but I have pm on some landscaping. We have kinda dried out, probably better to say monsoon isn't kickin' so much.
The color continues to fade. The itratic shape could be hail, you can see holes from in the other leaves.

I'm leaning 51% its pathogen, 49% genetic response to environment, but IDK. That plant won't get pruned, if symptoms come back, it's outa' here.
What's goin on with this? Mine has gone back to green and healthy looking. Looks like a female too.wow whatcha know i see a outdoor top thats doing that

Pretty sure the plant next to it is a male (unaffected), I'll let it dump some pollen on her, get some seeds but no promises I will be able to do anything with them other than mark them "purple blight recovery". Didn't take any cuts and I still lean to pathogen so I won't be taking any.Yeah that's essentially what I noticed when it happens around here too; Like ZERO other issues, no weird growth outside of newly forming leaves having a purple or red like coloration, that then turn normal green once they mature. No other issues noticed, nothing.... Like I said, I'm pretty sure this is a genetics thing, as I've seen it myself but didn't notice anything else happening. Blue Cheese did it, and I think a few others probably have, but because of nothing else showing up it was hard to say that it was a problem.
Me? No.Did you figure it out?
Me? No.
The closest I can speculate is Regalia provides an induced systemic immune response. @BH uses regalia too so was wondering what he is seeing. Maybe its been a little dryer and warmer here but I would have to confirm with what my weather station has. Temperature swings are still normal for here, it was 49F this morning low 80's yesterday. I am gonna put a little effort into contacting the university ag extension.
