I knew that brother, mostly just wanted to give you mad props for some sweet genetics. Everyone loves that Jack Herer. The locals here know Herer for being very peppery but my girl was sweet and fruity with a sublime buzz, and she was a beast at 12'-14' and fully loaded. The two Banana Crack phenos, the original Belgian waffle (2018) and my Fruit Loops (2019), have both been well received with a lot of requests for clones and beans. Thinkin I'll be dusting with it this year. I still have unmixed silver nitrate and sodium thiosulfate plus a surfactant from last year, so I'm ready to make those fems.

Thanks brother. All my girls will be greenhouse this year but that shouldn't limit their sise much. Moving the 6 200gal pots in there too but they'll be starting in June instead of May. This'll be the 1st year early fall storms won't be able to flatten my garden and rain won't exacerbate a bot-rot epidemic. Will also be doing regular pyrethrin applications to fight the spider mites, broad mites, and cannabis aphids, starting with a couple Dr Doom foggers on the 12th, a day before the clones go in for the 1st run. As soon as the materials get here on the 12th I'm wiring lights to extend daylight till the flip and doing a ScrOG for the intial dep run. Been busy AF the last few weeks.

Thank you mucho. I don't think I know doublejj unless he/she was using a different handle.

Good to see you too man. You still doin that mad scientist water cooled lighting in your basement or have you decided to finally surface and join us sun eaters?

Yup, yup. Will be doin a grow log here since y'all decided to adopt this as your new home. It'll be noice to start something fresh and uncluttered.
Aha, still running the water cooled, and have added a fair number of others. No sun for me. Lol
Only the non smoking crops will be outdoors.
Do have a bunch of that getting ready for outside though.
Awesome for the journal, I'll be keeping up on that one for sure.
Have you made beans yet with that Banana???
????? lol.

Nothing more than incedentals. If I do successfully breed the BC this year I'd like to spread those beans far and wide, starting with you guys on my naughty list.

Okay, off to the mines I go this morning. Gotta go finish amending dirt even though I feel like sh*t from some cold. I hope it's the virus, cause f^ck you, you invisible b*tch. I wanna get this sh*t over with. It's been within 20mi for over a week now.

welcome! mmm thats some good lookin rosin you got there. What you pressing it on?

This guy on eBay used to sell em but he's been AWOL a couple years now. Wanted to buy the 3.5"-7" 1200w but haven't been sble to find him.

I replaced the leaking original jack but I need to either grind down the head on the replacement more or try to find one that's as short as the original. Unfortunately, jacks don't usually give an accurate height measurement in the descriptions on Amazon and the prices at my local brick & mortar stores are ridiculous.

Got turned on to this site by a friend (Srenots) from a couple other forums.

Started in 2017 with a small 6 plant outdoor medical garden. Done a few little side projects (some successful, some not, but failure is an excellent teacher), winter outdoor tent grow, mini-hoophouse, aeroponic clones, and breeding I didn't get to complete last year due to some crazy family BS.

This is my first season trying my hand at running a small greenhouse commercial op and will probably also build a small dep-house for breeding.

If this 1st dep run goes well we'll be looking into small commercial trimming and processing equipment. I love doing this by hand but there reaches a point where it's no longer feasible when there's only a few people to do the work. Might pick up a new portable washer for making icewater hash this year.

The knowledge of the growers/breeders on the other forums have been integral in my success. I couldn't have done it without them. Looking forward to learning so much more and hopefully can impart a portion of that wisdom to struggling beginners. It was so overwhelming trying to learn what I needed that 1st year and then overcoming pest/fungus/nutrient problems in the last couple. I hope I've finally reached a point where everything runs smooth, YEAH RIGHT, hahaha!!!

Looking forward to interacting with y'all. Thanks for the invite Srenots.

I thought the K99 was pretty nice at 1st, but then my partner breaks out this continer the other day and as soon as he pops the top I'm all, "Wow, that sh*t's fire. What is it?" Him, "It's your's dude." I'm lke "WTF?" Went home and cracked the vac seal on one of my K99 jars and got this gorgeous sweet aroma. That sh*t aged like fine wine man. Kashmir99 is a f^ckin home run dude. You should be proud.

I do plan on breeding, but my old outdoor garden had to be sacrificed to my cousin's vegitables if I wanted the house. I gladly gave it up. I'm so tired of the fall storms flattning my girls. My breeders will be in a small dep house behind my 5th wheel like last year, but it's gonna be 4x-6x as big and fully opaque white enclosed. I probably won't build it till June, after we offload some Purple Punch (We'll see if that PP comes through today. I think we got in early enough to beat the rush.) I'm down with any good ideas but I really want BC babies. It's super unfortunate for the community that this strain has mostly dissapeared. I'm no breeder yet so I'll take any solid suggestions to diversify the yield.

Will the entire top proper unthread from the ram ?

You could rethread with longer threadyrod. A turnbuckle would lengthen the rods. Although, I dont know if they are rated for that.

No, I wish. Tried that 1st. But it's pretty soft so the bench grinder can take some meat off with a quickness. Might just give in and spend the money on one I've fitted in the store. With it back to original I'll have room to adjust it for a steeper angle again to push rosin out the front more effectively.

I have considered new threadstock as well. A turnbuckle will block its movement.

Welcome brother, fired up to watch your plants. Those big ass outdoor plants always amaze me. Different set of skills than I have. Awesome.

I'm blessed to live in a zone that's very condusive to monsters. I used to be pretty impressed with myself until I was shown local 17'-18' beanstalks that dwarfed my girls. You need a 500-600gal pot and start with clones or very early indoor beans for those kind of trees. I've begun to focus on pruning and maximizing surface area instead of going for height. I deadheaded that Jack Herer into a shade tree last season. Of course, genetics are key to success in this. Once you've successfully grown large outdoor girls it'll pretty much ruin you for most indoor, though I have seen some pretty bada$$ indoor yields coming from skilled growers. The indoor often get fat snow, but in my experience, outdoor generally have far richer terps and a more developed satisfying high. Again, a skilled indoor grower may be able to produce comperable results.

Welcome @SmithsJunk , awesome stuff you have going. Excited to see how things progress ?✌?

Thanks man. Agreed, this is a really exciting year for me. Can't wait to see how my girls turn out without having to string them up after being blasted by fall storms and the botrytis assault was heartbreaking last fall after the rains. I'll boost the Cal-Mag, aspirin, and better control the cannabis aphids this year to avoid a recurrence. Those cannabis aphids have some big ol chompers that readily vector disease through damaged cell walls.

Are you on the Farm? Your handle seems very familiar.

That sucks about the cannabis aphids and botrytis. I live in a typically very wet region and feel your pain with the various diseases and pests that come about and wreak havoc. Hopefully this season the cannabis gods will be in all of our favor and we can all have stellar grows whether indoor or out. I have an account over at the farm and riu with the same handle. I try to soak up as much knowledge as possible.?✌?

Sorry, had a typo and deleted too much so my quote didn’t go as planned.

It's okay. Happens to me all the time when I hold the delete button just a little too long. Yup, seen you on RIU too but not a member, only ghost an occasional search. Haven't been on the farm in a while. The old cock of the walk may have his shortcomings but I did get that sweet Banana Crack as a freebie from him in '18. That was my 1st ever bean order and had no idea that sh*t was coming from Spain. This'll be my 2nd year running Srenots gear. His genetics have been a real hit here. I'll have enough room this time to run all my gear from Srenots, SoCalPlummer, and Phylex, + my own. I told my cousin (she owns the GH) I want enough variety to rival a dispensary with our full season grow.

Yeah, I never ordered seeds off the farm and just looking for info between the two places. Mostly just lurking around. I don’t know Srenots personally but look forward to chatting with him and yourself. I love seeing what creations folks are coming up with and of course getting to grow some out along they way is special as well. Good chatting with you @SmithsJunk , be well✌?
