Higher Grounds

Well let me just start with my setup. It's quite a step up from cfls and cheap leds.

Light: Digital Greenhouse fixture with a 315w CMH 4200K bulb

Tent: 48"×25"×72"

Fertilizer: CNS17 GROW and BLOOM

Soil: Happy Frog

Strains: 91 GORILLAS(donated by @AlienAthena ), COPPER CHEM(donated by littledabbie), and GARLIC MINTS(I collected them myself from a good bag)

So I turned the light on for the first time and was sadly disappointed... for the first 30 seconds or so but then I saw what I paid for, the damn sun! I raised the fixture as much as I could considering it probably won't be enough.

Germination starts today. Thank you @AlienAthena and @LittleDabbie for your generous contribution of seeds to make this possible. I raised the fixture as much as possible. Seems I'll need all the height I can manage. 1631826244750669833144336366967.jpg 16318263544765858385591668622424.jpg 16318264240308375564920394794213.jpg 16318264947103072686283413910893.jpg

If I am reading correctly,,,
Looks like a Meter or so, would be just fine.

In flower, close as possible.

That is excellent. I've found nothing in my searches to indicate I need to keep this light 3 ft. away from anything let alone cannabis. Which is why I cut the extra zip ties securing it directly to the support bars my tent came with. Knowing I have an extra foot to work with, I can raise and lower it as I please :)

Sadly, I don't think the three 91 gorillas will sprout What makes sense is that all 3 of the garlic Mints sprouted because their the freshest. But to my amazement, I found a feminized seed called Italian Cookies in the collection littledabbie gave me. I set it in germ yesterday.

Making headway here. I started using this magnificent 4100K Phillips bulb to meet a Garlic Cookies sprout at it's birth. None of the three 91 Gorillas sprouted nor did 1 of 2 of the Copper Chems as is often a problem with seeds that aren't fresh within a few years. I'll be very pleased if all the tadpoles poked their heads out the surface. I'm worried because I've had 1 inch long tadpoles go into suspended animation with no possible recovery. Anyways, the brilliant white is absolutely beautiful. Makes quite a calm atmosphere as a night light when the observation window is open. Wow.

Already took some difficult work and considerable stress out of the equation by constructing this. I would have spent the $20 for 2 of the bungy type nets but 1, they sag and 2, it seems they're too generous with the size and spacing of individual squares. Well mines better xd.

Italian Cookies is bred by our own @Dino Party. Should be awesome from what I have seen.

Yep those were from me, haha. I am glad they ended up in your hands! feel free to hit me up with any questions/coments/concerns you ever have about it. I'll dig up some photos and post em here ina little bit if you dont mind. Also, that SCROG is badass! definitely what Im gonna need to do from here on out. I decided to start doing one again and just have the shitty nylon one that is having 100% of all problems you described. Too big squares, too big of an oerall size, i dont like the nylon, and it is very stretchy/the center is like 8" above the edges. but hey, its still working well enough.

Gtha is correct, they are feminized. Thanks for taking a chance on a no namer like myself :)

Hey yeah I was just getting back in to thank you for your creation. I don't want to count my chicks before they hatch but it looks real good. I want more lol. I mean maybe for my next grow. Since I have the expensive Phillips bulb I figure there's no time to be fussing with separating males overall.

The great thing about males is, once I find an awesome one, my plans have totally changed and I want to do fem stuff then instead.

No rush doggie I will be here. Have a great day!

Yes brother you too. I have a separate tent and light for males and I want a male garlic Mints because the weed was up to 28% thc or some number so yeah, I think I'll make that happen. Other than that, I honestly don't know what I want to cross strains with. I would definitely want to work out something about some other fem seeds though.

Day 2. I'm concerned for 2 of the other Garlic Mints' serrated edged leaves. I'm thinking I had the light too close at 3' 3" because I had it slightly raised more when the first g.m.sprout came up and no problems there. So I raised the fixture a couple inches. I want some sort of inquiry about this if it looks like a problem so please lend your advice on the matter. 20210922_101347.jpg 20210922_101309.jpg 20210922_101209.jpg

I'm no expert but I say give them some time they usual work them selves out and make sure you don't over water right now(that kills mine everytime)
Well thanks for the advice. Yeah I've had bad luck as such and having read what you said maybe they're just being drowned when it happens. I raised the lights because I've learned by experience that it seems to alleviate the setting symptoms of any problem. All I'm hoping is I didn't sear their first fan leaves.

They look ok from what I see. I like lower light (florescent) until they get a little size I've fried plenty.
Good luck I'm following along
