Horribleherks 4x4 on a budget grow

Opie

Stretching
I got the tent together without incident the poles are only 1/2 inch in diameter my other tents use 3/4 but this is a $110 tent the material & zippers are good I so far have no regrets about buying this tent I'm looking forward to getting things up & going tomorrow il get her to her final resting place View attachment 21401 View attachment 21402 View attachment 21403
I’ve got a 3x3 like this, it seems to be of pretty decent quality, it ain’t a ‘Gorilla’ but the price wasn’t either, lol. I’ve not used mine yet (need some fans), but I like them.

I have two 3x3 tents I've been using for about 3 years now the quality is a bit better but the price a bit steeper too & the only advantage I see is the sturdier framework everything else is neck in neck I'm pretty happy with my upgrade it's all coming together

I am running 4 rooms all in 1 room so I know the feeling...somewhat lol. 4x8, 3x3, 32in x 32 in and a small propagator double shelf. Working on a 10 x 10 now though.
I recently rented out our downstairs room /studio so I'm kinda forced to make all my grow related stuff happen in this area that being said I've about got it done & I'm pretty sure this is gonna produce good everything is in place I'm gonna take what I've learned from making my 3x3 tent produce & apply it to the 4x4

Cattapilla

In Bloom
I'm in the California gold country you must be somewhere east of us 4 years ago we had the bute fire got 1/2 mile from the house they evacuated us but I snuck back in because there was looting going on
I'm in Auburn, which seems to be a settling spot for smoke from fires, but I still love it here. The Butte fire was horrendous, and looters should be left to swing in the wind. I think I'm a peaceful person until I hear such stories, then all bets are off. I'm so happy you got through it. ?‍♂️

Youre motivating me to find space for my tent. Not sure if thats a good or bad thing though. lol Stay safe out there brother. Crazy shit.
Test fired the light & I've got no light leaks I've got the 3x3 I took down back up right now it's kind of a utility tent I'm leaving the option to put it back as a full production tent if need be it has a light & e&f setup already just an option 20200822_094913.jpg 20200822_101633.jpg 20200822_101740.jpg

Hey red how is everything in your neck of the woods? I'm just kinda dug in & doing a bit here & there on my growroom slow but sure things are coming together getting ready to build my e&f next
I cant complain over here brother. Currently hunting some Goji OG and Blueberry Hashplant for some personal....possibly more.
This gonna be your first flood n drain setup?

Both my other tents were e&f I've done dec & waterfarms but always come back to e&f I use sunshine #4 in smart pots & set the timer to flood 1-2 times a day this is my preferred method I've been doing single plant grows but am going back to multiple plants

Right on. F&D seems to be my go-to since its low maintenance and the results are there even when Im not. I've gotten lazier in my later years haha

amen brother I kinda got this concept from watching chaos hunter using the megacrop soiless mix drain to waste the fact that it likes ph in tha 6.0 -6.4 range which happens to be where my tap water & megacrop like to stay my tap water has a ppm of 50- 75 year round our water does have chlorine our reservoir is snow runoff fed these days I rarely touch my ppm or ph meters once I get to flip time I can flood twice daily it's hard to see my tubs or reservoir in the pics the canopy usually covers them up I don't know if you would call this full on hydro but I'm flooding & draining in the 3x3 tents my res. is larger than my tub so I have an overflow tube that routs the excess back to the reservoir but I made it with single plant grows in mind this is about as close to soil as I care to get & very forgiving of power outages which we get I use the sunshine mix in 3 gal. smart pots this truly is the lazy man's setup

I ran into my first glitch with this tent but quickly maneuvered my away around it the openings for the duct fans is at least 10in. making it hard for a way of supporting my fans just relying on the draw cords is not a good idea leaves room for a fan to wiggle out & cause problems mid grow so I drilled holes in the fan ducting & zip tied 12in. length peices of PVC pipe to them & dropped them in from the top tomorrow night I pick up my 3x4 tub which will give me the option of 6 or more plants I've got almost everything worked out things are coming together one step at a time 20200825_131646.jpg 20200825_131950.jpg 20200825_131957.jpg 20200825_132159.jpg
