Yeah the r spec I would try to get a refurbished Diablo. But between those two are spec lights, I wouldn't think it would be that much of a difference . I feel like these new ones Just penetrate more and spread better. JmoSometime this year I’d like to switch from HID to LED for my flower room. I know I want to go with an HLG light. Cost is definitely an object, and I had settled on the 600 RSpec to replace my 1000w HPS. Here’s my question…
The 600 is $699 new but $549 refurbished…
But how much of an upgrade is the new 700 RSpec FR reflector series? It’s $100 more brand new, but $250 more compared to the refurbished. Would I regret not going with the newest product?
Note that the reduced height above canopy isn’t too big a deal for me, as I’m at 34-36” with my HPS and both LED’s improve upon that.

Btw I'm still using HID and never thought I would switch over. I didn't want to pay for it either until I saw the refurbished Diablos I think I ended up paying 300 bucks for that light. Keep your eyes open. Stuff pops up on their site randomly ? and sorry if I got sidetracked I don't think it's worth it though your original question. ?
I was just looking and I would pay the extra 100 bucks for the diablos here versus the r spec. Or I would get two 350s.
So I wouldn't pay the extra money to stay with the r specs. But I would definitely pay the extra 100 bucks for Diablo.
