How can I Increase my Autoflower Yeilds? I was told today I am doing something seriously wrong and I would like to fix it with help.

I was on Reddit sub Microgrowery earlier and got into a conversation with someone about average yeilds on auto flowers because of the post they made saying how small their plants were and why they couldnt figure out how to get more than 50g off a plant when they were used to getting an average of 200g per plant... now to me 200g off an autoflower average is huge and unreal I personally am new to these as is but ive always heard if you pull 2oz off of an auto your doing good. so was I mislead and I really suck at growing or is this guy just a lucky SOB and has some serious genetics. He said he uses Seedsman and while asking him about the post other users stated that they pulled 80g to 180g off of an auto in a bathtub with a 200w blurple..
Im just worried Im wasting my time and these seeds if I am harvesting less than 100grams now. let me know what your opinions are on this and Help me out here if you can so I can get all the info I need to grow autos in the best way possible.

what the user said he uses:
1000w HPS with throughvent ballast
3x3ft tent high reflective mylar
great white myco
recharge
FFOF soil plus living soil in 10 gal fabric pot
dry amendments for extra boost
nector of the gods
non phd water
he did say he water almost daily and tries to make sure his 10gal never gets dry more than an inch or two down
Normal 18/6 light cycle
adds more N to try and increase Veg time which he says makes plant bigger causing much Larger Yeilds
Boosts P and K after flowers appear still feeds N just smaller doses.

Im gonna list what I use and do below and if anyone sees What Im doing wrong please tell me and give me any tips or advise you might have. I will not be upgrading my lights or changing my nutrients anytime soon so those two things are out of the options to change at the moment.
Mars Hydro ts1000w plus Mars Hydro ts600 LED Grow Lightwith a 1000w blurple LED
3x4ft tent with 2 sections and one tier
Real growers Recharge
GH Flora trio
Blue Planet- CalMag
Blue planet- Liquid Seaweed
Botanicare- Root & Grow Plant Stimulator
Humbolts Secret-- sticky sweet Microbe Food
My with autos is more unique.
Start feeding nutrients at 1ml of all nutes listed per gallon of water ph'd to 6.6 then I double the nutrient measurement of the nutrients I previously used every week unless i see some deficiencies or growth not up to par then I will increase/decrease accordingly during Veg I use a little more N heavy ratio and Bloom I use P and K heavier mixes to boost flower production and yield.
18/6 light schedule
using progressive lighting starting at 20% ending in 75% for veg and starting and finishing in bloom at 100%
water my plants when they feel very light, alot of the times the soil gets very dry before I will water again to make sure i do not over water as that has happened in the past with autos were they get 2qts of water in my 2gal pots and this somehow causes clawing and drooping.
LST and topping (depending on the resilience of the strain) sometimes i use a scrog but thats on a rare occation.
tent at 75-85F during Veg with RH @ 60-70%
bloom tent is at 70-78F with RH @ 45-55%

I really cannot figure out what i am doing wrong to get such small yields from what everyone on reddit micro growery says however my plants never have had a severe deficiency nor have I seen them stop growing. I always see a substantial progress in growth so Im very confused why I am getting such small yields compared to others out there. If anyone has any tips, tricks, genetics, set up advice, or how to write ups on the best way to grow an autoflower.

Ps. I will add some pics of my grow set up and what I use as nutrients/Feed and some pics of my most recent autoflower run

6 oz is a hefty plant. That would fill a shower stall with buds.
This plant was not 6 oz, nor an auto.

Whatdya think ?
Not total crap ?

People say a lot of stuff. Are you happy with your buds ?

at 20% ending in 75% for veg and starting and finishing in bloom at 100%

unless i see some deficiencies or growth not up to par then I will increase

Push harder.
Sounds like you are very in tune with you ladies. Push the upper limits.

Blast the light in thier face until they ask you to back off.

Pour the elixirs down their throat until you think they may puke.

I am not familiar with LED lights. Are they capable of burning the plants ?

In this dating game if you are just strictly looking for them to put out , you are going to have to bump a few uglies.

Photo or Auto , a healthy plant in optimal conditions will put out superlative results.

I understand that Autos can be finicky , but to address your yield question specifically:
Light drives photosynthesis.
Make sure they have everything they need and then see how many photons you can push through , before the sand runs out of the hour glass.

You Grow Your Way.
Ever forward

Wow 1000w in a 3x3? Dude is just blowing smoke imo. If he needs 1000w HPS to grow buds in a 3x3 he might be the one with the issues ;)

Ps don’t believe any yield numbers you read unless you actually trust the person. Like in their grow journal for example. People throwing out numbers always exaggerate to make themselves feel better.
No way there's a 1k hps in a 3x3..............I would ignore that person.

I have a small amount of experience with Seedsman Autos. I wouldnt say its impossible to pull 200g from the currently available Ruderalis genetics, but highly unlikely. I would of been very satisfied with 2 ounces per plant. I would say its very possible that the OP from that thread is entirely full of shit.

The biggest difference i’m seeing is pot size. Size of pot makes all the difference when it comes to growing autos and how you treat them during veg along with genetics. I’m always amazed at how big people can get their autos while I can never get them to produce more than 1oz ? I like checking out the Autoflower and MephHeads subs on there, some folks have it locked down. Also maybe try coco if you want to stick to smaller pots.

So Ive grown a bunch of autos at this point. Is it possible to pull 200g? Sure. Is it likely someone is averaging 200g off autos? Not very.

Now seedsman autos in particular can yield massive amounts, but they also tend to run so long you could've just grown a damn photo in the same time period, while using less power, so I gave up on them.

Most I've gotten off an auto is 168g in a 5 gallon, but I felt like that was the exception and it ran like 110 days or some silly thing like that.

People lie about their yield on the internet. I wouldn't take that person's comments to heart.

Length of day and pot size are the limiting factors for weight. That being said I shoot for a certain size I want and try to achieve. Atm I do two to three gal pots and they stay alongside my photos . They end up same size . Sorry if I already said this . Hope it helps . Bottom line if I did a 20 gal pot and the whole run at 22 /2 I'd end up w a monster.

I’ve seen someone consistently pull around 150-200g but the key is Coco/Hydro. You aren’t going to pull really big numbers in soil. MephHeads has a weight leaderboard, scroll down and you’ll see the weight and medium used

edit: another trend i’m seeing amongst the leaders is they’re all using QB’s. I need to grab a couple more from alibaba for the future ??‍?

Potting size for autos should be 3-7 gal coco @ 50/50 perlite or rice hulls and apply 1/4-1/2 strength fert the whole time (300-700ppm max ferts , also in coco go low on K) . Do low stress training vs topping and high stress . The reason I suggest 3-7 gal pot vs smaller is because less to medium dryiness levels and temp balances so it will guratee no stress ( I suggest doing multiple stage uppot meaning 1st stage with party cup , than 1 gal “2nd stage “ than 3-7 gals for final . If you do 5-7 gallon pots you will only have to water every 1-3 days and see great results . Key is to have a salt removing bacteria (like seagreen) or you’ll need to do minimum 15-25% run off because otherwise the coco can retain things that are salt based and majorly give your plant a major stall or negative result .

for autos = More light during the “lights on” vs tradional cannabis (18 hrs lights on/6 hrs lights -off 24hours lights on/ 0 hour light off cycle ) for a auto plant it is a good thing cause more light on but not too strong will produce more and have better meds vs trying to use it in tradional flower mode or more light ( when I said “more light “does not mean more light intensity , your level should be 300-600 ppfd for light levels whole cycle and thats you need for autos and their demands (like veg stage plants ) otherwise it’s a waste and really a negativity .

I noticed that as well , also,
--the top 10 list is exclusively 3 gallon.
-- megacrrup is dominant
-- genetics seem inconsequential
-- no outdoor ?? or HID??
i’m seeing a lot of them are using 24/0 or 20/4 light cycle also so that may be why no outdoors. HID cost too much in comparison to QBs in regards to wattage needed to achieve similar results. I like Megacrop really simple all you need nutrients and works really well with Coco and all in the top , besides 1, used Coco or DWC

the reason hps wouldn’t be best choice inless dimmed or using low level , even a 600 watt hps is too much . Same reason for outdoors inless in shade and live in Alaska or Russia where you get more light per day

It’s more hours vs more ppfd that make the plant more yield and better results

People eve. Grow autos on their window shelf and get alright results . Just shows you don’t need the extra light , just like a veg stage

megacrap (v3) doesn’t work for coco because their npk is wrong ( too much of not wanting nutes ) , you can adjust it to make it work but if your buying ferts , why buy something that isn’t compatible when it’s no cheaper than jacks or grow more?

Pots are funny things. Sometimes size matters and sometimes it doesn't.
This zamaldelica was in a 3 gallon bag.

Right now I'm growing a 'Cultazepam' that's bigger than everything else in my room -- and it's in one of the smallest pots.
Tall & lanky AF but I've got a feeling she's worth it.

When frequent watering is required, plants usually grow very fast.
Pots get crowded and may need a poke or two (aeration).

And when it comes to nutes, Mills pays the bills.

just because it grows big in a small pot does not state your going to it’s full potential or you didn’t give It unwanted stress to its ecosystem , meaning if you have inbalnces heat or dry/wetness cause your pots are being heated from your room vs a larger pot giving its insulation. Heat is the enemy to bennies‘fungi and roots don’t like it and that’s why my outdoor the pots integrated even at 100+ gal pots do better than the same size above ground
Another example is in my journal (late fall round -) From 220 gal smart pot square 4x8vs 2 tables of 4x8 5 gal pots vs 15 gal “city picker” mini beds. what pot had the most stress even when numerous of the pots in the 4x8 were same pheno? Always 5 gal and my previous I had same issue. more stable medium is ways better than heated small pots ( everyone has their own views)
