Cheers guys, great to see some familiar 'faces' on here too, all here for the same good cause!
Glad you got some much needed heavy rains to deal with all the fires. I would venture to say that would be one hell of a mess to get heavy rain with no vegetation to hold the soil in place. But better than fire i guess. What if any impact has the fires had on yourself? Hopefully minimum. We kind of get bits and pieces of news about what is going on over there in the states.

Thanks mate, was definitely much needed rain and it has put all bar a couple fires out now.
My family lost a few houses, some property and about 200 head of cattle in the fires, they just came through too fast. In the thick of it I lost my aunty to a tragic accident, my uncle to smoke inhalation and both my brother and sister in law tried to commit suicide! One hell of a month. But I'm still kicking, still fighting on and my family are all safe at least!

Sounds like it has had a devastating effect. Sorry for your loss and i hope things start happening in positive direction over there.
