I did. I played it in the store and knew after like 2 minutes that it was "the one". I usually get home with a guitar I LOVED in the store and start to find it less appealing in playability as time goes on....not with this one. Im like 3-4 months in with it and love it now just as much as the day I brought it home.

To pick one out at the store AFTER playing it for awhile. How very cool, been many years since I got to choose one that way.

I forget which one you were after, was it a Taylor 314? I love the fit of the x14 series. The smaller concert models are sure fun too.

I hear you on the finger callouses, I thought I was bulletproof after all these years, just playing way more acoustic than usual lately.

An awesome new instrument with zero buyer’s remorse. Good for you bud!

Sorry for the distraction from weed world but players understand. It is important. ??

ya, theres always a portion (even if small) of buyers remorse once you get to take something home and the wow factor diminishes lol
I got the Academy 10E (dreadnought 24 7/8" scale) and theres zero remorse on this purchase.
Its the one with the "arm rest". This thing is sooooo comfortable, and plays just like a full 25" scale dreadnought. Rich, deep tones on the lows and bright highs from the mids up.
Plays like a guitar 3x the cost. Sounds just as good plugged into an amplifier too. Highly recommend this to anyone who plays acoustically whether it be for the gigging musician or camp fire strummer.

A short scale dreadnaught? Sweet! I like the idea of the armrest too. Good for you!!

I got an old Yamaha acoustic sitting in my closet that I wish I could play. I've tried to teach myself, but my hands don't want to cooperate lol. I might have to break it out and give it a shot again.

Amos' easy play method for beginners:

1. Learn 3 chords - C, G and D. Practice.

2. Go to YouTube and find "Can't You See" by Marshall Tucker Band. You will be able to play along. Practice with and without the music.

3. Find "Sweet Home Alabama" by Skynrd. You should be able to play along with the chords. Once accomplished, pick apart the chords to learn how to easily 'fake' the intro.

You are now playing guitar. Armed with just these 3 chords, you can [ and should] be able to play along to a majority of southern rock'country bands, as well as many classics such as CS&N, early Bee Gees, Byrds, Flying Burrito Brothers etc.

You're on your way, just that easy. One important tip: before beginning, search google for a guitar tuning site - there are many. Be sure your Yamaha is in tune before every practice.

My favorite is the "open G string".....

I have an old tuner/metronome from when I played trombone in school I use for that. The bastard doesn't stay in tune more than an hour at a time or so lmao. Cheap guitar with brand new strings, seems about par for the course.

In other news grease's pieces #1 is starting to purple out a bit now @ day 59

That looks awesome bro. Wont be long now. You care if I stash this pic away for possible later use? (with full grow/pic credits to you of course)

I thought I was calloused up too til I started hitting the frets hard these last 10 days or so lol

Sounds like you have enough "buzz patties" to get you through this crazyness were all stuck in lol
I'll be squishing up some rosin later today with some scizzor hash I collected from the GP's. I can only imagine how strong its gonna be after sampling the flowers.

Ya, I hear ya about it being challenging to discern any smells when you have multiple plants in 1 spot. Would love to hear what you get once all jarred up (and Claritin clear).

I've actually got multiple projects going on right now.
"Sin City Juice" Fems (Las Vegas Triangle Kush x Mimosa)
"Orange Julius" F2 Regs (Mothers Milk x Mimosa)
"Orange Julius" Fems
along with 3 other strains Im working on reversals for to get Fem seeds from right now. If all goes as planned, I should be dropping a handfull of all new gear. I dont really want to announce any time frames or crosses at the moment either until I can confirm 100% its actually going to happen. I dont seem to have good luck with projects when I try to put them under "release dates". Im all too familiar with how unexpected shit can go sideways in no time flat lol
Taylor's are top notch. That tone is solid.
