I Hate Deer, I have done everything know to man. Except drop them on site.
They have killed 50 strawberry plant all my tomatoes and Pot Plants. Now they took all my flowers, Green Beans and Squash.
The 800 bucks I have spent on plants, fencing, And Deer control methods are A waste of time.
I Hate Deer. Done with everything outdoors. Gonna cut my losses and let my whole garden die. F them deer.
Rant Done. I will go hide under my rock and Pout.

Get yourself a container with a lid. I use a 2.5 gallon plastic jug that originally held cat litter. Whatever you got.......1 egg per gallon of water...I use 3.crack them and throw them in, screw the lid on..........let that fester in the sun for a day or 3.........then pour that wherever you don't want them. They go away and seem to stay away. Eggs are cheap :)

This is a great tip, never heard of it. I don't do outdoor around deers but that's worth writing down right there.

The deer must be habituated to your garden. Nothing besides killing those deer will get them to stop unfortunately.

Same thing happens with nesting birds. If they built a nest there years prior then they'll never leave.

Short of having dogs out there chasing them away then its going be deer jerky for the win.

I haven't tried it myself, but I 've heard that a couple of strands of fishing line run outside of your fence, like the double fence idea, will freak them out when they bump into it before jumping over the real fence. Just a thought, cause it seems slightly easier than erecting another entire fence!

I have to admit when I saw the topic my first thought was Medium rare and black pepper lol. 800 dollars buys a decent amount of bullets and as long as it's legal in your area, stock your freezer bro. Deer ate the corn we had going one year but they seem to leave the rest of our plants alone.

I did see a bunny take a nibble of a giant red Thai Chili pepper and then do a weird sideways jump so I imagine he figured out leaving my crops be lol.

Didn't give up hope bro, blast one and grab the back straps, get the roast and burger cuts, and leave the rest, they generally aren't gonna keep trying once a few of them die from "lead poisoning" with a "remote protein collection device" lol.

Nice @Willie, we used to go catch carp lay them 20 feet around the plants, deer will stay clear of any dead animal. Perhaps it’s the smell like the eggs.

My grandfather had a garden patch and protected it with a electric fence, not to say that one arrant deer got in it on occasion but for the most part they didn't have issues. Same fence was a little more powerful than most, it would snip off the tops of grass when the wind blew and even killed a few small animals so if you have small animals then I wouldn't recommend.
