Germinated in peat, worm castings, and perlite.

I don't know too much about the Schrom cut other than that Archive used it in some crosses. From the description on their site,
"The wonderful lemon zest of the Schrom has proved to be one of the most wonderful breeding varieties we have used. Pungent stupefying mint mountain fresh LEMON zest with a lemon balm/verbena pungency is extremely satisfying and full bodied. Like taking a stroll though the most aromatic herb gardens in the world, there isn’t an pungent herbal aroma that can’t be found in this line. One of our favorites and sure to be a future classic, slept on by those chasing hype instead genetic prowess."

Sounds like the potential for some very interesting progeny.

Day 19

I really can't explain how it makes me feel to see happy plants again after my first few mess ups this year. I noted needed to make some adjustments in my previous post. Here is what I am thinking so far.

1. While much improved the new mix isn't as aerated as I would like it to be. I find myself having to break up the top layer of soil a bit before watering. A mulch layer will help with this no doubt, but I also believe I need to lessen my peat input. For these 1 gallon pots I used 3 cups peat, 3 cups perlite, and 3 cups compost. I realized that the peat and compost act much in the same fashion in the sense that they of similar texture. So it's almost like 6 cups of soil material and 3 cups of perlite so it makes sense that my soil isn't breathing as much as I would like it to. My next run will be done in 2 cups peat, 3 cups compost, and 4 cups perlite.

2. I downgraded from 2 gallon fabric pots to 1 gallon plastic pots for two reasons. I don't have a spare washer to thoroughly wash fabric pots and I wanted to fit more plants into my 4x4 tent. I am realizing how much I miss the 2 gallon pots so I will be upgrading back to that size while keeping plastic as my choice of material for now.

3. Finally I am going to be upgrading to a nice flowering light in the next few months. I had two 600w mars hydro led lights initially but I removed one and replaced it with a 3500k cob light. The amount of heat that both 600s put out was truly a nightmare, especially growing on the second floor of a two story home in the southern heat. I already have my eye on a light from HLG and I am excited to pump out some nicer flower.

But it's always about improving. Even when I make all these changes I am sure there will be more things to change/tweak. All for the love of the plant. ☮

Day 41

Some shots from today's watering. They all have a nice lime-esque smell. It's a very liquor lime, not strong but there and mixed with something else. Still some time to go. The last one pictured has been very interesting as it's put out very little pistils. I considered revegging it but a few plants, including her, have pushed a few random nanners. Nothing unmanageable.

How true !! we always have room for improvements _ very good bud development for 19days flower _ do you use anything special ? Also HGL has good products their Mlj/jouls are very good (4.00 is the highest you can go (talking about light pentration) Have a few Budget LED but HGL will bne my next up-grade - if you want to spend some money checkout Foshe ($1,000 +) companies now are concentrating on light spectrums (improving)

@Hawkman I have been figuring out some stuff here and there for sure. It's been fun building soil from scratch. Nice to dial in things and figure out what is causing what issue.

Nothing special to be honest. I model my soil around coots mix. I topdress wormcastings, compost, and insect frass a varying points. I brew teas with dragonflyearth medicine products, Radiant green for veg and Fat flowers for flowering, also brilliant black. Foliar spray aloe, coconut, and kelp at different points. IPM is lactosoap and different essential oils. And my feeding regiment is really just to feed the soil microbes. So I water in coconut, aloe (veg, and early flower), and molasses on different days. I make sure everything sits around 6-7 pH. That's really about all I do. One of the variables that has been messing my runs up is yucca extract. I've been using it as a drench when I transplant and once every two weeks. I realized it was causing havoc on the plants so I have stopped using it as a drench and will just use it for foliar applications.

Nice I have some cheap Marshydro leds from amazon in there. But I'll be upgrading to a nice HLG flowering light here in the next couple of months. :alien:

Everyone is on Day 61 headed towards finish, maybe another week or two. Everyone has a very lime liquor nose going on. Initially I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Its not an intense lime, more of a muted lime with something else in there. The other day I was checking smells again and it hit me. They smell dead on like Southern Comfort Lime.
