I had the worst germination I have ever had.

8 of 24 survived, pretty fucking bent about it actually. Seems like I bought some rockwool that is mostly rock. Grodan brand and everything, but it has chunks of wafer like rock in some of the cubes and is far too dense. I prepped it properly, have used rockwool for germination for years now, but this might be the last time. I threw away the rest of the sheet of cubes and cried a bit. We lost some good soldiers over the last two weeks.

That sucks! I've germed in Rockwool too with good results. I moved to Jiffy Pellets and never looked back. It's convenient and I'm lazy.

I used peat pellets for my first year, and always had great success with them, that's the way I went too. Great minds stink alike.

I've wondered about that. I'm very ambivalent. All the times I've gotten, "But it's a dry heat." when I bitch about it being 118 makes me want them to experience 118. Then I grow up and worry that we are going to see a lot of people with thermal regulation problems and less access to A/C get very sick or die.

BHB gifted me the HH he used to get that outrageous (3lb!?) yield (one light, one square meter of floor space) and a bunch of HH crosses, including both phenos of C99 x HH and a couple Honey Stomper pheno crosses. Been sleeping on those too long. I need to run at least one of his chucks this year.

I am older, wiser, and healthier than I was back then. ¡Pura Vida!

Great progress was made on cleaning up the basement garden space, locating and consolidating all my tools and supplies and furthering the pheno-fest. I had a young friend of mine come help. He’s my top goon. Glad he could come work today since my junk is still swollen and purple. I feel better and did quite a bit myself, probably too much. Now I have to lay down and ice mah nuts

I was gonna do a cookies and chem f2 project, but got all fems. Same thing happened a few months ago when I couldn't f2 Ripped Bubbas because of 100% fems. It's so odd to be rooting for males. I digress.

I kept 2 cnc clones, then decided I liked #3 after smoking them. It's on it's 3rd run for buds, the only drawback is it's long to finish and a light to moderate yield, so it'll be the last run. Real good smoke; I see why it's so popular.

Amazing. The time of year is way more important than the strain and it's historic grow cycle out of season, such as we see today at least here in the West (sunny so cal) Reactions of strains per temperature and natural lighting change the pHeno of most plants. FACT. Amazing but here we are. Almost like real fucking science. Observable and repeatable. Change my mind?

Those drippers don't work worth a shit on a gravity fed system, but I always wondered how they would do under pressure.

I think that sounds like a sick setup, I'm jealous and probably out of my depth. I've never had to think about chloramines, and I'm genuinely curious about municipal water. What ppm active chloramine does your water municipal water system have normally? Can I assume you've got some sort of RO membrane system or is it some other type of filtration? Around here they use chlorine at 2ppm +/-1, I don't even think about it. Total ppm at our source is around 100ppm, no significantly measurable biologicals or other poisons. I have an RO filter for breeding soft water cichlids in the aquarium and drinking water (because my gf likes it that way) but after doing a fair bit of research on water safety I drink water right out of the tap these days and so do my plants. I don't think chloramine evaporates, does it?
