Instruments - What do you play?

Artificial harmonics were cool, we used to call em "chirps." Those were the whammy bar days lol. Then stop to retune every few min  nobody could afford a floyd rose lol.

I didn't know zakk had a pedal, nice. I'm sure there are TONS of things available now, I missed over 20 years of progress lol. I remember reading back in the early 90s when zakk was playing for ozzy, that he preferred straight plug n play into JCM800(?) - I never got to play one with gain, just clean (and that clean was CRYSTAL). That amp is kinda old now, wanna say like 2010-ish when it came out , but theres a huge book that shows all the modeling it is capable of and includes a bunch of folks like zak, disturbed, and a bunch of others as well as tweed combos/british/fuzz/blues/clean etc. Possibilities are endless and the amp cranks too! I love it.
That's pretty cool, stop giving me reasons to spend money though lol

Any of you pickers ever played a Zager 'easy play' guitar? I've been looking at them for years, and with a full guarantee and shipping both ways, and some accumulated bean cash, am about to give 'em a shot.

They sound pretty nice

Never heard of it til now, but Im intrigued. I couldnt find what seperates it from the comparable makes/models they listed. They boast the better playability, but fail to mention what makes it more playable (action/tone/scale/fret height etc)

I'd have probably ordered one before, but I hated the guy's one hit record. He's got dozens of high profile endorsements on the guitars, though.

String height adjustment setting
Denny designs his guitars with a string height adjustment setting that allows you to dial in your guitar to your particular style of play. In this way if you’re a heavy handed player you can set the action higher so you can “get on it” for more power, and if you’re a lighter handed touch player you can dial the action low for greater speed and accuracy.

Ok, this is what I was really curious about. Im a heavy handed player so if the strings are brought closer from the top nut to the bridge (on any guitar)...theres gonna be noise when I play. Just from looking at it though, I couldnt see a difference in adjustability from any other acoustic.

The Mexi-strats were surprisingly damn good, I couldn't tell too much of a difference with the Ameri-strat.

I have one (with case) in my collection. I've never been wealthy - you should have seen the terrible guitars I had when I was younger. The Mex-Strat is just fine. The Strat was sort of the VW bug of Electric guitars. I always wanted the Gibson stuff, but still can't afford it. The thing with Fender was consistency in action and playability. Gibson seemed to have better pickups - but you can always change those.

We have lots of talent here in our community, we have the makings of a band. We even have a drummer!

I am an old guy with way too many instruments. This is my A team. I am mostly an acoustic player but these are good stage instruments with pickups built in. Mesa Boogie studio amp is my go to when I need it.

I have sure been playing a lot lately. My fingers & hands are tired but I am really glad to have this outlet during these weird times. Puff & play all day long.

I feel you there, I had a kay as a kid but my dad had a fender strat he had when he was younger. Also had the fender stage solidstate amp thing on 3 was to much for the single 12. But the feedback from that thing make the Pope swear, keep them fingers on the fret at all times. Haha good times. Atm I have a guild with a Peavy tube amp. I'll put pics up tmrw still have to get ac in house and its 12 fml lol. Been finding myself more acoustic now, think it's mainly due to the simplicity of picking it up. have a lotus and my god it plays so well. I've had fender, Alvarez, and dean and I'd pick this one. Should start a fucking forum band lol.

Need a quick video of you twirling the sticks and stomping the single bass like a double mang
I need me a new pedal. Debating between sonor perfect balance and DW 5000. I have an old pearl double and that Gibraltar single. Don’t overly love either. I can play fast bass notes
If youd like but never was into the stick tricks. Always thought they were a bit.. Much
Anyways playing as many notes as you can quickly isn’t always what’s called for but it sure is fun. I’m more about this vibe here

I’d sure be open to posting little drumming clips if it wouldn’t annoy y’all. We could see who can write the sickest guitar riff to the beat. Winner gets a prize. Could be fun

Tare it up let's see some videos, I'll post a show I did 10 years ago lol. Recording is just shit but it's some what audible. It was first time on stage and there is a lot of laughs from it. Our singer was a big Aerosmith fan and wanted to do what it takes. So we practiced and then at the show said hey I'm going to sing first half then you guys come in on chorus.....ya faillllll! Then he was winded and said one second before hitting the high note at the end of the song....or starting of in my darkest hour by megadeth other guitar players guitar is out of tune. But it was a blast!!!!!!

Some of you players that have let music lapse, I urge you to pick it back up again while we have extra time. Making quarantine time count.

I had not had the Telecaster out of the case in at least a year or two, acoustic is more my style for solo but I got her out for the pic. I have not stopped playing it ever since. Fun. A change in perspective & so much easier to play.

Music in the time of Coronavirus, it is a good thing.
