Integrated Pest Management - Essential Oil Spray

I'm going to leave this here as a placeholder and will add other items. I would also consider adding 1-2 teaspoons of Isopropyl Alcohol to assist in miscibility as well as for contact dehydration.

**These oils are simple hydrocarbons that'll break down in the presence of light and oxygen think ( cannabinoids or terpenes ) so they dissipate within 24 hours of use and will not harm smells or flavors.**

***DO NOT USE WITHIN 2 HOURS OF LIGHTS TURNING ON***

When using the Essential Oils for the first time, use it at a dose of maybe 2mL per Gallon. If you up to 10mL the first time, the plants, which are not used to the oils, may get burned. Start low and work your way up.

IPM 1-1: Foliar Spray (PPT BY ANDREW GUALDI)

Container #1
2 Cup of Warm Water
1.5 tsp Potassium Silicate (emulsifier)
1 tsp Aloe Vera Extract 200x

Container #2
1 tbs Mixed Essential Oils (ex. Cinnamon, Clove, Rosemary, Thyme)*
1.5 tsp Neem Oil
1.5 tsp Karanja Oil

Container #3
1 Gallon of Warm Water (minus the 2 cups from Container #1)

Directions:
Mix Container #2 into Container #1
Stir, stir, stir
Dump into Container #3
Stir, Shake, Stir
Put into sprayer and use immediately

*Use up to 10 ml of mixed essential oils (usually 3 or 4 kinds):
Lavender
Cinnamon
Clove
Thyme
Rosemary (Melts mite eggs)
Citronella
Spearmint
Peppermint
Eucalyptus

How to Emulsify: Use a small glass bottle with a screw cap. Add neem oil, K Sil (potassium silicate), a bit of water at room temperature. Screw the cap on and just shake the bottle for a few mins. If oil droplets are still floating around, add a bit more ksil and repeat the process. When it's a nice even liquid of milky consistency, pour into sprayer, add water add a form of saponin and go to town.
Also you may use Yucca Extract as well as Dr. Bronner’s Soaps.

I'm looking for someone to help me with a new formulation of organic soybean oil, ISO, peppermint oil, and citric acid. I'm not sold on it being soybean and could be karanja/neem with some ISO and KSil
I said I'm a huge fan of it, lol. Haven't switched from chems yet. I have a handful of natural organic things I use, but if things get bad I still reach for the nasty stuff. I need to learn more myself in this area. Hopefully this thread can educate us. I really like Smite for mite infestations, its natural with essential oils and whatnot. Can't think of the company they have a whole line, let me go find it.

4 W I W,,,

I took cuttings and discarded, a two-spot mite, infested plant.

I dunked the cuttings in 50% ( 99usp) iso, and then manually toothbrushed every square mm with 50 % iso, before redunking.

I was ready to burn the room down.
This was a last-ditch effort to retain a special mom.

Clones rooted normaly.
Leaves are fine.
Begin again.

Spray some peppermint oil in there and it'll keep them away. I have mint plants growing in my lab tent

I guess I'm not using anything too bad really. Spinosad, an organic 3-1, and the above mentioned Smite. And only when they're needed too. Oh I also use southern ag and or h2o2 for pm.

I don't consider any of that nasty as long as you're not spraying bees or pouring Spinosad into the creek.

I rotate Nuke 'Em, Plant Therapy, my oil mix above, Orchard Strength Pyretrin/Sulfur for my outdoors.

For the most part Plant Therapy alone keeps everything indoors safe.

I used to hit plants with worse things. I have made some effort over the last couple years to use safer products. I'm just not as far along as you here. Teach me bruddah

Happily, I can post pictures of some of the stuff I use. One of the very first things when I get a new product is to take a thick sharpie marker and write on the top of the container the mix ratio so I never have to look up that folded sticker ever again.

Nothing wrong with Spinosad, pyrethrins, plant-derived oils, sulfurs, etc. We can do this but you have to stay on it. Its maintenance and it is better to be proactive than reactive.

I'm looking through your list again..... Rosemary melts mite eggs, that's interesting. It's one of the main ingredients in the mite spray I mentioned. It's expensive too, I'm going to go compare your list to their lineup. I have a feeling that you're doing what they are, but at a fraction of the price. Where are you sourcing your oils?

Again, sorry I missed this question the first time around. I am reposting here for those who like to have their needs show up on their doorstep in an oversized box. LOL

SVA Organics if you want to use a full line. If they don't have what I want I typically just look for specific organic essential oils on the 'Zon.
No worries bro I do it all the time. I'm just getting interested in mixing this stuff up myself instead of paying out the ass for someone else to. Thanks again man
