no bueno bro... The puck is way too thin... I think bottle tek works best because there is some resistance from the puck because its much more dense come out of the mold... if that makes sense.... You can only fit 7 grams in the 2x4 puck and it creates much more surface area... I wound up crushing the bud, not squishing the rosin out...

maybe 2.5 x 4.5 bags with like 14 grams or so could improve this method. I think I should stick with bottle tek tho.

Its also really fucky to try and get the bag over the puck without it falling apart and shit.

I think this would work for pressing hash, but thats about it.

Ya that's when I see it used most. Id love to start pressing more hash . It's definitely a different animal but the finished product is so nice

Peyote Chung is actually a light blond rosin and still a bit moist. I think the Anthocyanins are literally dying the rosin. i wonder if this still happens when properly cured...

I've had a few like that it's sucks . Even if u lower the temps some just stay runny I've noticed

Whats the RH of the bud youre pressing? Ive found fresher bud with more water content is usually runny like that...

do you use micron bags?

It is definitely dry, my guess is between 45 and 60 % rh. 90 and 160 micron same result.

How about psi? I have found that when I go for high pressure I’m only pushing out plant wax and shit I don’t wanna dab. Have you tried staying under 2000 psi?

That is the varible that i don't know, i am still bottle jack pressing. No pressure gauge just by feel.

I even tried the bubble hash to rosin path but the flavor was gone and the hash yields were low considering how much rosin she pushes albeit sappy hard to collect rosin.

45 second pre heat. 2 minutes of increasing increasing pressure to 2500 psi. No blowout, but close, gonna top out at 2200 next run...180 degrees F...

Came back a beautiful taffy consistency. Wasn’t runny at all... the little bit of extra moisture just soaked into the parchment. I gots myself some gassy treats for later... and by later I mean now.

Got started on the Slyme cookies x Lazerscout. I expected this to be a little different color. Last pheno was almost pure white rosin. Hmm... all good it’s still dank. Limonene forward. Dropping temp to 175, and pressing to 2200psi.
