hey there Jag - some great looking rosin you are getting!
Quick question, a lot of people press flower at over 200, circa 205 and 215 - I tried that and it sucked, teh end product was dark and lacked flavour imo.
I now generally go at 190 for flower and 160 for bubble pressing - is there a reason you go at 170? I see the colour is beautiful, but what about the terps and the returns when going that low?

Just a quickie with the bubble pressing, the drying is an arse as you point out, but with the sieve it always works a charm - for the pressing I use two bags, then you can get away with smaller amount to press. Generally if i have them in the house I will go with about 7 grams of dried loose bubble, put that in a 25micron bag, press it down a little and cut it to size, then I place that inside a 160micron bag, keep the seams aligned and cut down to size, it seems to hold everything in place better allowing the rosin to seep out nicely, and the final result is crystal clean with the double bagging

Cheers

I like lower temps as well, but I usually put a layer of thick parchment on my plates so I figured the extra 10 degrees was necessary. I think it’s all going to be strain dependent and also dependent based on the model of press you are running. 170 just seemed like the sweet spot for me. Yes I agree, double bagging is the way to go for sure.
