Thanks, dude.
Got my shears hitting gears

First gear, it's all right (Jewels, snipping, go faster, faster)
Second gear, the plant leans right (Jewels, snippity, go faster, faster)
Third gear, buds are tight (snippity, snip, go faster, faster)
Faster, it's all right.
Get yerself grooving, hold on tight.
It's not a big set of shears,
Just a groovy little pair.
Trimmin up a barrel of kind.
That big green monster sparkles.
We'll smoke em on out of their minds.
Go faster, higher, snipping your life away.

I know, I's kinda high atm. Lol

Red Alert !!
It has been warm for the last few days, so I tried getting away with no heater in the dark.

That is all 400 watts could do, after running for 12 hours.
That is not going to fly.
I need to either Harvest this all tonight, or keep running the heater.
?
Sooo,,, Procrastination it is !!

When I get some pollen in hand, I sit down with a pencil and scratch out a list. I write down any potential matches on paper. Over the course of the next few days I reflect on the list and mark some them with a check ✔ .

The criteria :
Which crosses will you choose for the very next run ?
Which crosses would you run "later" ?
Anything with a check gets brushed, anything marker 'later',,,
- never happens.

Got to mention homeboy @Kanzeon , at this point. Milk truck [× BloodySourTangie] and Mango HP [xDank ] move to the front of the list, and they both came from him.

That last plant looks ready to keep going for awhile yet, you gonna let her? Or did ya give her a scope to see what she's looking like?

This photo awkwardly composed and is indeed hard to look at, bare with me ;specifically it is the colour I am regarding.

These are green right down to the dirt. That seems to be the way it goes around here.
What is the Bro Science on the importance of fading, anyway?
Essentially, I don't think I am doing anything different than anybody else.
It seems with the bunny turd , these things hold green for 11+ weeks.
Is this an indication of excessive nitrogen?
Is there a downside here?

Anywho, they are crashing like thatched dominos.

I am thinking that is DosiCake
20230417_025604.jpg

I am hesitant to say for certain because the last time I grew this I did not get much more than a quarter ounce off of the whole plant.
I will find out tomorrow. It maps out as Dosicake, yet still I am surprised.

In my experience, it's mostly temp related. I almost never saw any fades when I was in a warm apartment. In the house with colder night-time temperatures I started seeing all the pretty colours. Didn't seem to affect the flower in any way.

It can affect flowers; cold temps trigger more than just the anthocyanins making colors, it also triggers the plants safety mechanism to environmental issues that could affect seeds. Plants are like other living things in this way; when their life might be in peril, they act as a parent would and protect any would be offspring, which for Cannabis, means pumping up resin production as that insulates would be seeds from too much moisture, and too much cold.

I've seen clones of the same plant that were run inside in a much warmer climate come out looking like mids, while the clone of the same plant outside here, looked like it had sugar dropped all over it.

Have you ever attempted an outdoor run? Your climate is a bit colder than mine and I'm curious if you've ever noticed this too.

Now as to this stressing the plant out, that's another matter as it's totally going to cause stress, but it does seem to increase the resin production in my experience.

Its been awhile but I remember my outdoor plants being plenty frosty, dunno if I'd say frostier than my current indoor, but don't recall any non frost covered plants back then. I've had more than a few indoor I was dissappointed in frost production.

By low temps in the house, how low are you meaning it gets down to?
IME for sure temps can influence the colors. When I was still outdoors come fall time, Sept/Oct, I'd see some beauty colors to rival anything out in the woods. Pretty ass purples, pinks, oranges, reds, they'd hit all the colors that the trees do. Had one went to Nov 11th one yr, whole plant purpled up, was not a purple strain. lol Had to add a heater for the night so she didn't freeze in the greenhouse, daytime was warm enough without it.

I can see frost in the first week of September around here. It isn't always, but given that, I'm just not going to bother. The only outdoor I will mess with is autos. I did one last year and it did well. I don't like how leafy outdoor gets though. I'll try to sprout my last few auto seeds in the next few weeks for this year's attempt. They will finish long before autumn.

I think it might be more the lack of low temps in the old apartment with radiant heating. Those plants didn't get below 20C, and the flowers would finish while the leaves would barely change; just some yellowing from the bottom up.

That's the only thing I miss, the easier growing in the apartment. It's not like I have great challenges now, just new ones, but I haven't yet grown anything out here to match what I grew in the city. Quality is good, but quantity is way down.

Well at least its that way around.
Quantity is easy enough to fix by cloning, and or adding more plants. lol Quality your getting is alot harder to improve, so good thing that box is checked. lol

Yeah those cool temps seem to really bring out color and resin. For me personally, the more resin on it, the less likely I see bud rot or even mold. Not that it won't happen, it just seems to help that to not happen.

I've knocked Snow off my plants a lot, and the coldest temp ice personally seem them in was 27 degrees Fahrenheit. They routinely see 30s and 40s in late flower though.

My GMO was legit like the trees with reds, purple, orange.... it was gorgeous lol. I've had a few go black too but normally that is like lots of low 40s and freezing at night.

I did have pink for the first time this year

Blue Cheese X Blueberry Muffin. The buds were pink and neon purple but the leaves stayed green lol.

This is the only pic I can find of that plant, and don't remember the strain name. Lol

Had to have been a Chem of some sort though looking at the other pics of stuff grown in that timeframe. Wasn't on forums then so no journal to refer back to. ???

Chem stuff I've grown can totally get some colors too! Bro have you ever thought about a Winter run of Chems? Chem D, and Fiona's Chem Cake did really well with cold temps this past season, I feel like they'd do good.

I'm only indoors for the foreseeable future, so the temps stay pretty reasonable for any plant. Now with good rh% too. Lol
Getting chilly back there means things dip to like 65 or 68 if I leave the lung rooms exhaust fan on high during the winter.
So..... how'd it smell?
That was like 6 yrs ago, so of course I remember.
It was like getting hit in the face she was so dang loud. ?????
A heavy, sticks in your nose, rotten cheese chunk in a blended cup of diesel fuel nose burn, with savory hints of skunk ass in the aftertaste. ???
Properly wretching, and foul.

Nah, have no idea anymore, was just fucking with ya. Made that all up.
