On the taller mothers milk I definitely see a female preflower on one side, forming on the top node right where I topped her. The other side has something starting but too small yet to tell unless I bust out my scope. With past experience some weird shit can start growing where a plant is topped like stupid tiny branches, leaves and weird looking preflowers. I hope one of these mother's milk are a girl. My luck usually gives me 50/50 so I hope it rings true and not like the blood roses lol.

The younger cantaloupe kush has impressed me the most. It's at 39 days and almost as tall as trizzlers and with so many bud sets. It's almost 2 feet tall so it's already taller than the first ck I just harvested that gave me 99 grams. This one looks almost identical but much more healthy. The older ck that didn't stretch much but is getting nice and frosty. That's the one that had preflowers on day 13. I think it'll finish by day 75. It's on day 44 right now. Shit it might be done by day 65 lol. The older whisky zulu is short but very bushy like it's predicesor. Smells the same too. That stuff seemed like it had higher cbd content. The buzz was good but short and then it just puts me to sleep. One tasted like berry and the other was spicy and earthy. Very little in the terpene department so I gifted a bunch and turned the rest into some knockout butter. This trizzlers is like a completely different plant than the two runts i grew before this so I'm eager to see how she turns out. Shame her leaves are taking such a beating. I'm doing the best I can to keep her going.

What i had soaking was
1x Topanga Canyon
1x monkey juice
4x creamy sizzle chops
4x grapezilla
4x starberry pie
After an 18 hour soak Topanga Canyon, Monkey juice, 3x grapezilla, 1x creamy sizzle chops cracked. None of the starberry pie cracked yet. They were the only ones out of all of them that didn't sink after a few hours in water. I hope they aren't dry and hollow inside. They are all in paper towels now. I still haven't ordered the tent for this project. I had to push it off 2 more weeks because money is tighter than it has ever been. I know if i can pull this all off though then we'll be good through the winter. My wife is on short term disability waiting for shoulder surgery and her insurance company has been dicking her around making her wait forever in extreme pain. So nobody is working and who knows when that will kick in. Tried unemployment but they won't pay if you're on leave for medical issues smdh, can't even get underemployment. Wish us luck! Lol

Add 1x purple biscauto to the party. My next project is a 5 strain Twenty20 Mendocino auto run and will feature some of their new stuff they've been working on. It was supposed to already be started but life happens and shit gets punted downfield. I decided to run one of the 5 strains for now. I love purple strains and it's my wife's favorite color so that's why we picked that one. It's Dark nose candy×Biscauto. I have no other info about the strain so I'm completely in the dark with this one. Should be fun!

~80 days (based on F2 generation)
Nice true purple cultivar brimming with dense trichomes and thick swollen calyxes.
Fabulous fruit and gas nose and potent head-spinning effects.
The Dark Nose candy (not to be confused with Knows Candy) was a purple pheno of the original Nose Candy Auto we bred with several years ago that came from White Tahoe Cookies and Glue Sniffer

4/4 on the Grapezilla. Still nothing on any of the Starberry pie. I dusted them with Great white and remoistened the paper towel. This usually works with stubborn seeds. If this doesn't work I'll crack them open by hand and bury any that look viable. I hope there's at least one. My wife wants the Starberry pie really bad.

Starberry Pie is kind of fresh. It took a couple of extra days for my five to pop, and they've been slow to get a groove on since. I sidestep soaking and go straight to very moist paper towel with pop rate in the 90s, but new unproven ones are wait and see. I think it'll make good plants, too - if those don't pop, tell the missus I'll send some more.

I still haven't ordered the tent for this project. I had to push it off 2 more weeks because money is tighter than it has ever been. one of the Starberry pie cracked and the rest will sit until they do. Topanga canyon went all ghost and disappeared on me when I dropped it in the hole in the soil so I made a thin layer in this container hoping she pops up. Purple biscauto cracked and is in its paper towel. Everything else is perfect and will be up and green within 48 hours.

I also wanted to thank again everyone who helped us out. We both got a little emotional with everyones kindness here. We don't have too many people in our lives, it feels like we're on an island sometimes and gestures like these are what makes this place and this country awesome! We will pay it forward!

I can confirm that mother's milk #1, the taller one is a girl. She has 2 female preflowers up top and I'm seeing them starting on each node on a couple branches. Very nice!! I have a feeling that the mothers milk #2 beauty that's still in the solo cup will be a girl too. I hope I'm right!

I checked on the last 3 starberry pie beanz and they all cracked! 100% germination rate over 14 different strains and still a 100% germ rate for 2021.

Purple biscauto is in a 1.5 gallon grow bag ready to go. I can't wait to grow a pure purple strain

So next year I'm going to dedicate to learning how to breed, autos specifically. Maybe someone can give me some info about this. Can I use hydroreds sts spray to reverse an auto and then use that pollen on another auto in flower? I am interested in crossing cantaloupe kush with the berry pheno of whisky zulu. If that's possible all auto traits will still be kept right? I think these two strains would pair very well together. Next question, what happens if I reverse a cantaloupe kush and chuck that onto a female photoperiod plant with a fast flowering time like glue sniffer S1(6-8 weeks) will some show auto traits? I can't wait to do some breeding. It's what I've always wanted to do and after I'm successful I'd love to do a preservation run for the site to pay back everything y'all have done for us.

So to the first question, yes, you can use the STS spray to reverse a female auto plant and make feminized pollen. And yes, if you cross two autos the resulting offspring should be autos as well.

As for the last question, if you cross a photo with an auto the offspring will be a mix of the two.... some will flower automatically and some will require inducing flowering. The flowering time doesn't actually effect that aspect at all. You could make an auto flowering sativa with a 14 week flowering time if you wanted too (though I can't imagine who would lol)

I like the middle one. I'm not a huge fan of the off brand Amazon LEDs but they've definitely improved over the years and that one has some interesting features and is the highest wattage (also a $25 off coupon)

Not sure if you saw, but the first one does have an Amazon Warehouse option at only a $132 though which is honestly a steal and I'm honestly tempted to buy it myself even though I totally don't need it lol.

Honestly the results from all three will probably be pretty similar so I wouldn't overthink it, buy whichever looks coolest!
