Kalamata Red is now in my scuffer and will swim this week. I'll start 6 and when they are above ground, the other 6 will be put into play.

Alright, they are swimming from noon till 8 PM, then between paper towel & gauze in the germinator overnight. At the first sign of tails, it's a move into soil on a heat mat.
Then we rinse and repeat with the other 6 beans.

It's a Greek heirloom that I knew more about when I got them, than I now do. Sorry, I will be posting pics along the way and maybe I can dig up the info I had earlier. And if this runs well, there will be beans in our vault!

They are in soil after a 6 HR swim and 24 HRs between the sheets in my germinator. 🤞 6 more KR beans are now in the scuffer, awaiting progress of the first 6.

I'm disheartened so far. Only 1 of 6 has dared to show up so far. I'll keep them on the heat mat for another week, just hoping. I've got 6 more beans waiting for direction but, they must wait until I'm sure no one else shows up late to the party!
