When I say Popeyes is the best I certainly am speaking of fast food joints only, and honestly even then I'd actually rather eat from one of the bidegas near me, or even Pollo Centro which is a local chain... Dominicans make some killer fried chicken haha. And unfortunately I've never even seen a bojangles, but it's on the hit list

As for homemade chicken, that's just a whole nother animal. I'm a damn Yankee and my skillet fried chicken will knock the socks off any of these fools...but it's like, a lot of work man. And there's all that oil and my family always gets mad when they reach for an oil jug and I'm like "not that one, that's the chicken grease!!", which like, come on, the used grease is way darker, not my fault if their brownies taste fried chickeny cause they can't use their eyes...

I'm gonna need some fried chicken this week is where I'm going with this. Wish I had a Maw Maw.

No but we got a new Thai BBQ joint. Chicken thighs on wood fire. Very good and it's served on a stick.

Is raising canes chicken tenders only? That's all I've ever had from them and people always picked it up, I've never actually been in one.

Yeah Guthrie's and Raising Canes are both just chicken fingers. They have a sandwich but it's justs chicken fingers between a bun. ?.

I love all those things! But let me tell you, if you ever have the opportunity to try Korean fried chicken don't hesitate. It's the shit. Even chains like BonChon are amazing.

Yessir. Honestly I kinda forgot about that though. Now i want to fry up some chicken hearts again haha. Gonna have to see if there's a butcher that can help me out, I'm not raising any more birds for a while.

Thats hilarious man! I used to work at a Chester's Chicken and the owner made me practice on potato wedges, but at least we got to eat my mistakes.

The wedges were the best thing on the menu in my humble opinion. I always thought the chicken needed more seasoning. But I wasn't paid to think haha

I've never actually seen one. We have Church's Chicken in some areas too but I've never had it.... Popeyes is in the same area.

Popeyes for the sandwiches, chicken, sides, everything. @Psychobilly I treat the red beans and rice as a dipping sauce for my spicy tendies. well, and dipping sauce too.

That said

Gas station chicken is not something to be taken lightely. Whether it be Krispy Crunchy Chicken (which kicks ass as well, thier tenders are right behind popeyes spicy tenders for me) Champs Chicken, Chester fried chicken, or any of your regional varieties, it is generally better than pretty much anything else you will be able to eat at that rest stop. When I was boilermakin' I lived off of Champs chicken at the gas station across the street from the hotel I was living out of.

Raising Canes is pretty good, definetly its own style, thier sauce and honey mustard is tasty and the sweet tea is bomb. Its dope cause theres 4 things on the menu, easy order. Toast and slaw is also good.

Chic fil A can also suck my fuckin' dick.

Wendys spicy chicken sandwich is delicous.

Mcdonalds chicken can suck my fuckin' dick.

Burger King can suck my fuckin' dick.

Taco bell has these fried chicken taco's that are not awful either.

Oh, and grocery store fried chicken can be pretty baller too.

I'm not sure if they all did this, but the ones near me the chicken taco had its own tortilla/bread thing at first and it was pretty solid, but now it's just in the normal soft taco shell and it's wack. Tortilla to chicken ratio is way off.

Oh, and grocery store fried chicken can be pretty baller too.

Where I'm at the rotisserie chicken is definitely the safer bet, but when I was in Florida... that Publix fried chicken was legit
