I ordered 4 v2 288 panels in 3000k with 660nm, IR and UV switched the last of December and fired them up the 2nd week of January.
Im running them over my 3x6 canopy on a Light Rail.
Im just finishing up first grow with them.
My observations are;
6 months , no burnt diodes, a 10
For veg, i give them a 10. They penetrate like no ones buisness.
For flip/preflower a 10 excellent saturation of canopy!
Flower, a 7. Im not pleased with the coloration and for lack of a better word, burnt appearance.
Maybe the reds should be shut off at around week 6?
Maybe dim slightly?
Maybe no reds at all?

Thoughts from LED veterans.

I do give these panels a 8 for full term grow untill i can smooth put these issues at flower. 20200120_094440.jpg

I'm interesting in opinions here as well...thanks for sharing.
I'm looking at grabbing some new gear.
I was told both the Kingbrites and the Meijiu's offer some pretty decent alternatives to the HLG options..the 288 specifically w/ 301B or 301H's and IR and UV..( I like smaller modular options you can modify to scale up/down)

I've been told to grab the Meanwell drivers here in Canada (easier to deal with for warranty issues) and check out Alibaba for economical alternatives for lights)

Cheers

I think I would go 2 hrs in the morning 2 hrs at night with the uv/ swicth..... I run mine on all the time but I also have more light's with those qb's so it's diff then them by themself......

I did that on my 1st run with them....... on the 2nd run I had a little of what your talking about, but I ended up just moving my plants around... and pulling a lot out..... hell I had 12 plants in flower in a 3x3

also on the 1st run I didn't get as low as I did in the 2nd.......my lights where just as high as they would go......

They are to intense at 100%.
Im assuming they are overdrivin at that setting as well so probally isnt a great idea to run max.
1st run I only run mine at 75%

I went to 100% on the 2nd run 2 wks in becuase of the # of plants I* had in there....

I would go back to like 80% keep them in the 2' range ... with the uv I would go back and do 2 hrs on in the morning then 2 hrs before lights out, that way they could just run again in the am.......
that worked GOOD.................................................................

I think Kingbrite calls these ‘Quantum Bars’.

Can I still join the party? :passjbuds: 7DC1334A-7DC0-4CE4-A61A-DF95E0C4E999.jpeg

I went for the Samsung LM301h diodes with Cree Far Red and LG UV

So what do you think of it so far...

Cause I seen you were having problems with it..

Dimmer, LEDs out...

Yes indeed!
If i were buying mine today it would be the strips.
Probably gonna be a upgrade at the SD farm also.

Those bars looked tits. Did it right with the crees too. If your thinking of epistars for cost just run all samsung chips be it lm301b or h. Got a set recently and the quality is top notch from a visual aspect and no issues running.

Looks like it fixs the 4x4 nicely
But the more I look at it , what's supporting the middle.
Looks a little weak or is it just me....
Thats actually a 4x5.... I gave up on the dimmer.

But Vicky sent me a new PCB board to replace the LEDS that were out...

Its actually quite stiff... It looks like they reinforced the center a bit with those plastic connections.
