I will try that. The + is the only one visible. Anywhere on the light ahould be ground though huh?
Should be, but might not be. Lol.
To test a single diode I had out I just used a pin and scraped part of the pcb race off.
Here's another link for you, gives some more info about testing diodes.
Can you test the whole board through the molex connector?
If the board is bad, send it back to HLG for replacement.
Yes. Sure can. But it may produce false readings depending on circumstances.

Dhit when I test diode 0. When I test resistance big 0. I think I have an open. I should contact hlg

Put it in diode mode and check it. Check it both ways with the probes and see what it reads.
Should be able to test each individual diode alone, and all in line as well.
Is it possible there's a coating on the spot your checking?
But yeah, I'd give em a call and see what they say.

Still sold on the bridgelux huh? I found these across the pond... not sure how legit... I’m really digging my Samsung sunboards btw...I think it could be another solid option

Edit: on second glance I’m not even sure if this is what you’re lookin for

What’s the best deals out there on led lighting to cover a 4x4 or 5x5 area?
My buddy started his own thing doing some really nice lights and tents right now. I can get you an easy 15% off. Let me know if you are interested. Quantum board style, Samy 301h and from uv to ir all supplemental diodes are on separate switch controls so you can dial in for each stage. He does a phenomenal job if I do say so. Great bang for your buck. Let me know if you are interested.

It was just what was recommended to me

Wife is mad now that she found out I could of done this a while back haha
These are what I am running and couldnt be happier... Gonna do a flower build next.... @JL2G also helped out with instructions to build in my Question thread about Sunboards.... The vendor is also extremely responsive... He is happy to give you his number, if you want to call him prior to placing an order...

I purchased a diy strip light kit from ucandewit on eBay; the link that @jaguarlax posted. $290 got me 8 strips, two days f which are IR/far red, heat sinks driver, dimmer switch, wiring, screws and aluminum angle stock. Roughly 420-450 watts total and is super bright! I would definitely look at all listing on eBay from ucandewit. He has a ton of options and is super helpful with any questions you have! I cannot thank jaguarlax enough for recommending this to me.

You're welcome... I have recommended these to several others now at this point, and had the same feedback from everyone... He really goes out of his way to ensure a great experience...This beats the hell out of ordering from China...

And the seller gives out his phone # too! Very knowledgeable chap. I have 2 of the 4 Sunboards straddling a Unitfarm UFO80 (Cree and Oshram burple) and will add in the 2nd pair next week.

500W Grow Light 550V2 Samsung lm301b 3000k + 660nm w/ Meanwell HLG 480 driver | eBay

also may just go with 2 of these in the 4x8 to save on time and to get it going. any thoughts?
thats also another option... I would make sure that it has a dimmer... I like having the ability to dim AND raise or lower lights in tandem....

Something to consider with sunboards.... You are packing quite a few more diodes in when building your own... I also like the idea of being able to swab out boards for different spectrum if i ever needed to... But your logic is sound, the QB's would be plug and play.

Hah id like to think I’d be that proactive in the future, but I’m just now replacing all my HID lights, I can’t imagine I’d actually be switching out leds in the next year or so. So you think with the 3 it would be sufficient? Trying to replace 1200w of hp with something much more efficient

I'm just throwing this back out as I don't know if it got lost or ignored, but I have a good friend who is building, seriously, the best qb style boards you can purchase. The price is great, plus I'll hook you up with an extra 15% if you'd like. Individual switches control all aspects of light spectrum on these lights. Spectrum range on every light is complete uv - far red. All Samy H diodes, Cree reds, and LG uv. I'm not 100% if he's also using Osram for one of the spectrums or not, would have to double check. Waterproof on top of the waterproofing, all wires are hidden etc. Quality quality quality. Just thought I'd throw it back out there. Take care.
