I figured I would start a thread to show that hermie seeds can be just as desirable as any others as long as the genetics are tight!
This Runtz x Obama hermie plant is an Obama Kush pheno from Redbeard's personal cut. ABSOLUTELY gorgeous plant. Zero hermies and cant wait for the cure. Love Obama Kush!

I hate it when people say hermie seeds aren't worth keeping. I have been taking late flower hermie nanner pollen to experiment pollinating other plants ready for pollinating. Does anybody else do this?

I dont make a habit of collecting pollen from hermie prone genetics, but there are exceptions to the rule lol:

GG4 (JW cut)


Though GG4 is a product of a hermie plants accidental dusting, my cut never gave me any issues with intersexing in the 5+ years I ran her aside from when I neglected a momma harshly that I put into flower one time. I think the punishment I dished out woulda done it to just about any strain tho.

Isn't that wild to think about? Came from one but I couldn't get mine to do anything Funny if I tried. Crazy

I have several AF1, Trumps Candy, OMFG, T1000 seeds now. 1/3 of the OMFG went full on genetic hermie on me possibly due to light leaks IDK... I can't wait to see whats in there.

Those T1000's are supposed to carry some fire. He uses it in a lot of crosses.

I am very pleased with the few pheno's I have had so far. I will be cracking some of you and Frims gear next go around. I cant wait to finally try them as well. I only have 2 tents lol

My experience with herm seeds is about 50% female and 50% female herms.
When growing out large number of plants it’s difficult to weed out the 50% herm females. Always miss a few.
It’s a lot easier to weed out males.

For a pheno hunt I dont mind the hermies. If I was in it for profit I would not even consider it. I cant afford or find Trumps Candy and AF1'S are still listed at $500 on CSI HUMBOLDT site

This was a cross of mine called GuerillaCheeks. She smelled like STRONG taffy with every female. Tried to grow her a few times with the same results so had to retire the line. Good thing was she hermed early so it was easy to catch.

This is a SSH plant that started out as male and then decided to become a female too around day 20, after lots of sacs had already formed. It wasn't stressed , so I figure it was genetic. Would the pollen from this make only males (that have the same herm trait) ? She has already gotten the chop.

Honestly most of the seeds I've got came from me finding them in the bud I bust up to smoke; I'm no geneticist obviously from the stupid questions I ask you guys but I grow my seeds out that I took from the buds I smoke and I'm pretty sure that counts as me growing "Zwitteren" lol.

I'm open minded so if my seeds of Blue Cheese identify as both from whatever reason, I'm cool with it lol.

Is it true that when you grow a plant (from clone or seed) and you find seeds in the buds, that they are hermie? And that those seeds are also more likely to have that trait?

Anyway, if all that is true, then here's one of my Blue Cheese seedling colas that sprouted from seeds pulled from my buds of my clones of Blue Cheese:
