Thats a good read and breaks down the process pretty well. Thanks for the info.

One thing I noticed, (and I could be wrong) in the portion describing DIF. Are their calculations/ their equations incorrect and the final solution correct?
I think they are confusing the actual degrees and using a conversion factor on the ºC to ºF instead of just subtracting the amount directly from each.
I'll paraphrase/quote and post the portion I am speaking of, and see what ya'll get from it.

"So, if our daytime temp is 28ºC (82.4ºF) and night time 18ºC (64.4ºF)- DIF would be 10ºC (50ºF)."

While a temperature of 10ºC is equal to 50ºF, this does not seem to be correct when calculating the DIF. It should be 18ºF DIF between day and night temps.
Am I just high? They do come to the correct conclusion later in the paragraphs. ;)
I would hope no one (Americans) using the ºF temps scale would try to lower their temps 50º.❄??

I am 81 high and 59 low. I need a thermostat outlet to kill my exhaust when temps get low after lights out. The stink though.....

Yeah....I think I see their error.. the diff 10C or 18F....your right
I think they just took the 10C and did a Fahrenheit conversion.

(10°C × 9/5) + 32 = 50°F

I had a the same problem during really cold winter months. By morning my house would reek of a skunks arse when I shut off the filter/exhaust with the lights.
Eventually just setup a second, smaller carbon filter and fan on a timer. It was just to recirculate the air inside the room during the portion of the dark hours when the temps dropped too low.
Later switched to a thermostat controlled duct damper/diverter. It wasn't perfect , and was kind of rigged up, but it worked.
It's been several years, but if I can find a link to the type I used I'll post it.

Thanks. I have an extra filter setup too. Good idea!!
