Lil helpful info needed

This might be a little off topic, but maybe not.
I have never been a joint roller, but I always admired those that were good at it.
In high school I was not a weed type of guy, but I had a lot of friends that were potheads.
I had a buddy that used to use a dollar bill to roll the most perfect looking joint I had ever seen.
It was so cool to just watch him do his thing.
(That dude is dead now. I hadn't thought of that memory in 40 years)
Has anyone else rolled joints this way? Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

That’s how I learned to roll joints. It’s the same basic principal as the rolling machine. That would always get the joints nice and tight and give them that good old point on each end. I don’t do that now as I can roll super fast and I’d say pretty well with just my hands.

Yeah, that's the idea.
The guy I'm talking about would get it started like in the video, but then would put the bill between both palms of his hands and move one palm up and the other one down in one smooth motion and BAM there would be this perfectly smooth, perfectly round joint. Of course this was way before filters, so that is another difference.
I also think that back then joints were a lot more popular. The weed wasn't nearly as strong, and the puff, puff, pass culture was a much more social thing back in that day.

Speaking of rolling J's my uncle that's well in his 70s can roll a J one handed..cracks me up..he even has a tattoo of the zig zag man on his arm lol..When I was a teen he used to do this thing where pulling up to a red light he would get his weed out twist a J and light it before the light would turn green..It was a display I seen him show off multiple times ..We was actually just talking about it the other day when I was explaining this to my wife..He just laughed and said that was before I had the sense to just pack a bowl

I haven't combusted weed in over a year. All I puff on is Arizer extreme. Still need to get a solo.

If I smoke using a lighter or even joints it taste like burnt wood now since I've been vaping so long.

I did buy some glass blunts. They are just glass tubes with a push rod so you can dumb ashes. They work pretty well but not as convenient as joints. Much easier to load though.

This is what I use when I need to roll a lot at one time. You can knock out 6 cones in a matter of a minute. And you ca. also use that little spinning wheel to adjust how many you want to do at a time then when your done you just take the lid and press it against the bottom and all the cones pop up so you can grab them.

I only use this for getting ready for parties or events. I prefer to hand roll everythjng. For me it’s way better becaus some of these machines and bump boxes don’t get enough material into the bottom of the cone so they flip around like a limp dick.

This is what I was using when I was buying the hunid pack cones.
I haven't touched it in about a year... since the novelty wore off.

Hope this helps. practice makes perfect. I ball up the paper and then spread it out before even starting.

Getting this part right is really important. Roll the end nice and tight and keep that throughout the roll. Start the roll from that solid connection.
