Looking for a Gardening Journal/Planner

I'm guilty of freeballing w/ just dates on plant tags and referring back to timestamps on pics.

Would like to keep better record and organization of both plants and seeds in the coming year.

Am interested if anyone has a preferred physical journal or planner that they prefer?

Any reply would be greatly appreciated.

I hang a big Labrador Retriever calendar in the rooms where growing takes place, and keep a notebook with all the seed info. It's always been enough. Then there's a separate notebook for plotting upcoming seed projects, and jotting down promising names for future Brisco babe tributes. That pretty much covers it.

Copy. Thank you.

I try to log anything grow related from light/Co2 changes, last time picture/video taken, weekly cleaning of room, foliars, when transplanted, enviroment adjustments, any IPM needs or pest/mold found ( you get it) . Key is cementing the log into a grow vs doing it not every time.

i can tell ya for awhile I wasn’t as cemented on it and logging half ass doesn’t work. But doing the needed logging for stuff that is needed def cna make all the differance in knowing accurate info but also in future vents u can easily see when and how you did ur previous cycles or learn from those mistakes.

I used to do all of it on plain paper but since I’m working with water so Much of the time while working, I always fuck up the log papers lol, so I switched to logging majority in a plain ol calander on ur phone and a document app if it’s needed for other stuff ( like logging which pheno’s that got cutter/rooted or seedlings)

to know ur averages, min/max and alert of imbalances of enviroment. Pulse changed my views and knowing what’s really going on in the grow rooms, I can tell ya every time I get the pulse on within. A day or two I figure out I need to adjust or obvious instability and witjout that I woupdnt of known.

this not only tells me current temp, vpd, dew point, pressure, light % and if pro Co2 and spectrum . Than it will show (min/max/average) every min, hour average, month + alert when u have certain things like temp or light ( many previous rounds ethier hvac or lught leak, the pulse saved me)

the pulse even has a journal option , but since I use the calander on my phone and also simple iphone doc for list. Easy peezy

when buying a pulse if interested , 10% discou t code if applied in cart:

for knowing ur current nute/feed and knowing ur enviroment current and misc I try to also put all of this on a whiteboard.
i also take a weekly picture of the whiteboard to help me in future to know my stages and if any adjustment it’s def more obvious.

Gott admit, that's pretty intense (and intimidating)....???

I'm just gardening outdoors as the seasons permit, but commend your dedication to the collection of all that data!!!

I use loose leaf paper for each grow, which I then staple together as the pages increase. It keeps track of when I water, when/what I feed, issues I encounter and how I respond, etc. All this really helps me keep track of the grow.

For Christmas, the little woman got me a little book grow journal :) It is about 9 x 6 inches, has 3 pages for each grow, and has enough pages for years of grows.

She's a keeper! I just did a search and there's a grow journal on Amazon but not as nice as yours.

Might go for something like these.

OR.....a 2 inch roll of painters masking tape.

The date of bloom on it...add 70 days and put that date on too so you know when you are around the finish.

I used to have it all in excel but...i got bad at updating it. Now I try and plant seeds on the full moon, so its easy to keep track of.

And 2 sided tape and dry erase boards for tents.

now THAT is a stocking stuffer ! Not related but while i was searching....you fall into the twilight zone

Health Canada has a guide to growing weed... Must be the doob i find it hillarious.

And there are a few of those journals on the Amazon....i just ordered 2 myself. I think i need them for the 2022 breeding cycles anyway.

Glad you brought this up...that masking tape is good...but not cutting edge. The pad is like moving to an abacus from fingers and toes :D
