I actually bought a press. Huge mistake..used it once and knew right away that was something I didn't want to continue doing.. basically wasted a nice bag of chemdawg for a gram of rosin that my wife smoked in one night?

I mean it was Chem though LOL I'd blast that down too.

OK so I have a complicated relationship with dabs; On one hand, I do get a useful effect when my lungs are getting pollinated outside and basically cough for 15 minutes straight, and blow my nose a lot, and in general it acts not unlike a breathing treatment even if I can hardly breath for a few LOL.

At the same time, we have TWO jars, one is "Bakers Dozen" .... Rosin maybe? And the other is Chem D Fire and I think that's Caviar (The little balls of sticky instead of.....Ah fuck I don't care what it's called) Anyway, we have two jars of this stuff, and it's been sitting since last year. I Honestly prefer buds. Wife is basically the same.

And it's not even being lazy really cause we have an Ooze pen with the extension that lets you put that stuff on the pen and smoke it with that..... Still don't really smoke it though and.....It's Chem D Fire..... Who would have thought there would be any left for THAT long? Don't get me wrong, I did have a thought about cracking into that the other day, but I ended up not doing it.

I have a ziplock Sandwich bag that doesn't have much room left in it, and all that's in it are Blue Cheese roaches cause the jar I normally use for those is also full.... LOL. I guess for me it comes down to "I like buds more than goos, and I have Blue Cheese".

I love flower mostly smoke joints but hash and rosin are my passion. I dont care for dabs made from hydrocarbon extraction I smoked a bunch of it though and for sure dont like all the new botanical terps being added.
I have been pressing rosin for about a year now and pressed a bit of everything I have grown. The rosin is far and above my favorite concentrate the differences and subtle changes it brings to the flavor bringing forward the terps like soft floral notes and sweetness that lay just beneath the heavy acrid smoky tones of burning a doob. I have had many variety that just smoke better as flower (yield isnt my top priority) its all about the flavor for me.

I had some Angelica from Bodhi that when smoked in flower I was almost unable to get thru a joint, the flavor of rotten grapefruit with dumpster funk and black pepper in thick expansive smoke was almost too much for me unlike most joints as soon as I got the effects I was ready to put it down rather than finish it. Then I made rosin from it and wow the citrus and floral notes jumped forward brining a hidden softness to the thing I had not gotten from the first 2oz I smoked still just as potent like mule kick to the dome.

Anyway forgot where I was going with this....rosin good maybe I dont know lol.

Stoner mind bomb warning....this is pure bro science but I wonder if the more sleepy effect from smoking flowers has to do with trapped smoke particulate in the lungs inhibiting oxygen uptake. It is the same thing during fire season here. Tons of particulate = lower blood oxy = sleepyness and lethargy.

That plus the carbon monoxide from combustion both contribute to that imo. That's why concentrates and dry herb vaping both feel different than smoking.

I tend to keep 3or4 grams at a time I like em fresh, last me a few weeks.
