K guys I have a question I am going to transplant a bunch of veg plants today if I can get downstairs should I spray everything with the spinosad to kill any thrip that is in the soil that I have or should I just leave it until I start seeing the little fuckers
I don't think it would hurt to spray as long as it's not too much . Man hope u get better soon ?

My understanding is the spino won't help with anything in the soil for whatever reason, but it won't hurt them either as long as you don't straight up drench the roots, so feel free to try.

Hope you feel better soon too man.

K cause I loaded my plants in flower with the de and those plants are all still crawling with thrip but today marks 1 week of having it on there I didn’t spray any of those with the spinosad cause it makes me nervous but I sprayed my veg plants and I haven’t seen any thrip on them now

Yeah, so that makes sense. The DE just prevents new ones from emerging, it won't affect the adults. The adults will die off on their own when their two week life cycle is over even if you don't spray.

A few folks in my thread recommended beneficial nematodes so I may give that a try as well. It's all out war on bugs in my garden right now.

This is my second bout with them. First time I got it under control really quickly and easily but this time I was neglectful and let them get established and now it's a bigger problem. I think I'm just gonna start a more consistent IPM plan. Plant therapy/spinosad regimen weekly. Beneficial nematodes periodically. It's a pain in the ass but I'm just sick of the thrips, and the gnats for that matter.
