Looks so bomb man!? When pressing, does your stuff always just butter right up like that? Looks way easier to handle than the glassier and/or stickier consistencies I typically get when I press (although I've only ever used a hair straightener). What are you using (equipment, temps, times) to achieve this result? Or is it more strain dependent than anything?

Looks way easier to handle than the glassier and/or stickier consistencies I typically get when I press (although I've only ever used a hair straightener). It's dry kief sift to start with, so it tends to butter up nicely.

I put it into a 90 micron rosin bag, and keep wrapping any extra bag so it's nice and tight like a burrito wrap, rather than cutting any of the excess away. And then I place that 90 bag inside a 37 micron bag and wrap it tight too.

I'm using a 12 ton DabPress with manual hand pump and guage.

145°C, preheat for 30 seconds with a gentle squeeze, then start applying slowly for another 60 seconds barely registering on the guage, then 30 seconds with 250-500 psi on my guage....or so, just to get the last bit out.

LSD, which I am thinking this sift is from, even squeezes like this from the dried buds, nice and cheesy like. Yeah and it collected super super easy, most of it sticks together like 20 minute old nachos & cheese lol


My Zombie Virus, for example? nope. Great doobie and bong weed loaded with trichs, but terrible for rosin, doesn't squeeze for shit. Low returns with oily rosin. Very terpy but also hard to collect off the paper.

So no, not all my stuff looks like this necessarily, this hash squeeze is just the stuff I tend to smoke more of.

I actually also just got the second round of seeds. Apparently they doubled up my order, the second half which arrived 4 days ago. So now I have 6 Purple Punch instead of 3, 6 Lemon OG Kush instead of 3, 2 Critical Orange Punch etc......well over 20 Sugar Breaths, a whack of Chem-Dawgs, a bunch of OG Kush. So with my stash from before, I have a shit ton of seeds now lol.

And I got my Future Harvest stuff.
Just got all my 16 girls up-potted for the big tent last night, and the other 4 for the other two tents.
Now I have about 5-6 days of trimming......lol........sheeeeeeit. The worst part.

$&#@* tired as shit, it's been a long last few days.

Back up to 16 plants in the 6x6. 10 LSD and 6 Zombie Virus......


....it won't be low hedges this round, I lost control of these a little. But much much easier to water now.

Tomorrow night I will splay them out, flatten the canopy out as best I can, and then give them a few more days veg to fill everything in, some defoliation and voila back into flower.



A lone Purple Punch seed has been tossed into germination, so I should have some of that kicking around soon hopefully.

1 Purple Punch and 2 Lemon OG Kush coming up. It says LSD on the beer cups but they are LOGK. The LOGK will go into the SCROG tent when they get bigger.



Update on the harvest. I'm not even halfway thru trimming and it's looking real good. Add to this pile another 3/4 lb I already put into edibles......

Some trim and sugar, still way more to come....
And this is what still needs trimming lol......fuuuuugggg!



The Triple Cheese, while not really worthy of my best tops jars, yielded very well. I've only trimmed 2 Triple Cheese plants out of the 6 total and I pulled just under 320 grams lol. Kripes. Huge buds but a little too fluffy for me. I didn't get fussy with trimming it, it will be my main edibles stash, but I'm impressed with their yield. Despite this though, Triple Cheese is outta here to make room for the new ones. It's a decent strain but not my style. I prefer rock hard kushy like nuggz and exotic smells, TC is a little to middle of the road for me, and I've kind of grown tired of the blueberry smell over the years.

The SCROG was taken down last night very carefully and I managed to do it without having to cut a single string on the top deck. Couldn't believe it. Only took about 20 minutes to untangle it. It'd be several hours restringing it, that's for sure

So I'm trying something new......

Not sure what to call it, but it's Hempy based. Pure perlite sitting in a bucket. The bucket has an open bottom

and an insert of non-woven fabric scavenged from a grow bag. This will be separating layer keeping my perlite from mixing with the Hydroton below.



The 4" flat stone will sit on the bottom of the big tub, buried under the hydroton.

2 - 4"X2" stones will sit on the sides of bucket, buried under the hydroton as well.
I'll be using an EcoPlus1 air pump, with 3/6 air channels being used. It's mounted high up on the side of the big tub to keep it off the floor and to prevent back siphoning should power kick off.


This should give me a large rez as I plan on growing 1 giant plant with it. A 5 gallon normal Hempy is just too small for an 8 or 12.5 ft² plant, otherwise I'll be watering twice a night, and I refuse to use vermiculite for moisture retention, it always always always gives me strange pH problems and weird deficiencies I can never seem to correct.

Still not sure whether to use this in my SCROG tent or the medium tent, but hopefully it works well. I'll be putting my diesel mom in it for one last hoorah before she is retired for good. Good yielder but it's time to try new stuff.

Yeah on paper it seems like it should work. As I have it set right now with the overflow, the tub holds pretty near dead on 2.5 gallons.



Made the decision to go with the SCROG tent. Catch tray below for overflow. It may end up tight for headroom as it's only a 5'er but lots of tops tends to limit stretch, so fingers crossed lol.

I'm thinking recirculating pump and sprinklers up top, cycling once or twice a day to keep the perlite moist but I'm not sure yet. I'd love to have one tent that is basically autonomous except for rez top ups, as a prototype for future ideas maybe.

The 6x6 is packed to the gills and doing real well now, despite my peat puck issues. The green is back. Much better.

My 4x2 SCROG tent did nowhere near as well as I hoped this last round. Just over 1 gpw. Totally disappointed. It was going well, then the soil just borked out at the end and it just seemed like the plant lost all "inertia".

This round will be Hempy in the SCROG tent though, so hopefully it does better. The Hempys rocked the Triple Cheese the last round.....about 150 grams dried tops per plant and they were only about 2ft² and 18" tall. Very good yields in Hempys last round.

Still, I understand the drive towards excellence. When one is actively "producing", they are going to strive for the best "production".

I see any "nice rack" and my brain does two things.

#2 - imagine how nice it would be ; if was 10% larger?

So my Hempy Frankenstein seems to be growing a nice lush plant. The combo of perlite up top, Hydroton below and 2.5 gallon bubbling under it all is working very well. Almost too well the internoding is very tight. Gonna be a lot of work to defoliate in a while lol.



The big tent is doing well. Had to defoliate already, just getting packed in there. Some of them stretched a little, but not too bad.



I'll do another lighter defoliation with a bunch of lower pruning at my 3 week mark.
