Ok, the shrub attempt is a bust. I planted 100 seeds. Got 2 febble sprouts, one already gave it up.
I've had these seeds for 3 years and they were looked a bit shrunk.
Sooo,,,,, i go online and no one ships these to the US anymore. Frickin guberment!
But being the resourceful and persistant old coot that i am, a little bitcoin here, new addy there, wam bam in the mail.
I hope these are fresh, plump and shiny Seeds. Puts me out a couple more weeks on them but still time before last frost.

I had tried to grow them before indoors and failed. Progressive photoperiod is the kicker.

I started under febuary sun, 11/13 two weeks then to April 12/12 now for 2 to 3 weeks and then jump to June 15/9 to finish.
They will show ya.

One tray planted earlier this week will do another today or tomorrow. Christmas cactus is setting buds.

Yeah about 3" across.
The smooth lettuce type leaves are giving over to the cabbage texture.
A week and ill flip the lights up.

These really are beautiful examples of this species. Outside i dont really get to enjoy the growth habits so this is fun for me.
