Mega Crop

Seeing more deficiencies than usual since I switched to MC 2 part

I now believe the mega crop I first started using, and today’s megacrop and ownership and totally different.

My personal opinion after using the 2-part is it's complete garbage. If someone lived close enough to pick them up, I'd gladly give them all of the bags I have. If shipping cost wasn't a concern, or the time it would take to box it all up and ship it, I'd offer them all up to anyone here. At this point, they're most likely heading to the garbage can in the coming days once I start cleaning out the room.

The best thing that came out of that mega crop 2 part was nudging me to make the switch to organic.

I would be lying if I said I didnt agree with you guys at least a little bit. I can't seem to shake the feeling that something has been off since I made the switch.

I have been considering making a move away from Green Leaf altogether, and also intersted in possibly going organic... Im looking into the OEM (OrganicEastGardener) Method. Admittedly I dont know enough about the process yet but I see some pretty impressive results from the guys that run it on IG...

I was looking into the oeg method as well. I have all of the veg amendments, I just need to get some pro-mix hp
Couple screen shots I took a while back

Organics...you just have to really resist the urge to use the 100 pounds of dry salts you have....and its not easy.

But after finishing a couple in organics...I think i might sell all my salts. And just switch completely to 100 % organic in everything.

You can do it as simply as organic living soil with water feeds and every 2 weeks a top dress (Stepwell and Gaia offer great products...there are a few).

Your yield will be less...but the flavor and terp profile are un matched.

And organics are a lot more gentle on the envoriment (when you dump your old soil in the yard), and better for you!

Dooo eeett..

I dont regret it. And i will do my best to get better at understanding how to feed my soil, the soil web and how it impacts various aspects of growth. But you can harvest healthier plants....easier with organic inputs.

And then teas...they are pretty simple.

5 gallon bottle....bubbler....1/2 cup of
Barley Grain ground...or Kelp or Alfalfa.....bubble 24 hours and pour on plants.

i have to remember i grow for me sometimes. The plant does not have to get 8 oz in a 5 gallon pot. Coco is big ! but it is not better.

I ended up adding Barley, kelp, neem, and soft rock phosphate in this last batch to see how that works. If it presents any issues, I’ll revert back to the basic organic recipe I started with that has been working without issue so far.

Per cubic foot, I’m trying;
1 cup kelp
1/2 cup barley
1/2 cup neem
1/4 cup soft rock phosphate

in addition to the basic recipe.

Organic and non organics, your gonnea need this

Your lacking your fulvic and humic on your organic list Inless your using bottled or adding it onto your rez. Ethier way wanted to add that as a tip. Good info if people want general reason why you use fulvic and humic and why it’s so beneficial

too many times companies want to sell you ethier humic or fulvic, it really should be both and correct rates

this product is great and my last 4lb last me almost 2 years (using it drench on outdoors and indoors )

EFFECTS ON SOIL: Increases micro flora up to 2000 times in 15 days;

Increases total cationic exchange;

Makes aggregates in soil produce better oxygenated penetration;

The nutrients will remain in solution thanks to its sequestering and colloidal properties.”

great foliar + drench

I just finished an organic run. The two cycles prior to this were coco with salt nutes and rockwool with salt nutes before that.

For context the organic run i just finished was done in proterra mixed with worm castings and Gaia green 4-4-4 and fed the full 5 part earth juice line as needed.

Anyway the buds look fantastic and smell great, but the yield from organic is about half what i normally crop from DTW systems.. I have yet to smoke it, but its gonna have to be amazing to not go back to rockwool.

The organic buds do look nice tho.. 20210127_123740.jpg

if the answer they are ripping you off or you dont like the end result of how it dissolves or I talked or npk ratio ( not saying they are just if someone see the math themselves or doesn’t like the results ) than why deal with a company that makes bad options and voodoo math for what should be I takes In A plant for high dollar ? jacks and grow more mainly sell to big ag and that’s not just cannabis (prolly lower scale is for it) and that’s why they kick ass

My suggestion is look Into jacks or grow more dry amendments . Not only is their d try like 75%+ of all your nutes demand and it’s cheap as hell but the solubility of for example grow more they made it easily desolve in cold water and you can premix it in such within seconds fully vs quite the effort to make it disssolve .

I’ve used grow more for a few years now for my coco with additional stuff cause I’m ocd but I’m pretty sure if you were a cheap ass and only bought that and a cal/mag and fulvic/humic you would still be balling .

Grow more bags last for 2500-5000 gals (some do 2.5ml some do 5ml) depending on what bag for 25 lb’s you choose .

any questions just ask away and I’m in no way trying to endorse products , just a additional option to give everyone

Appreciate the insight. I'm currently using Recharge regularly for my humic/fulvic acid. It also has molasses and some other beneficials as well.

No arguments here just suggestion and view

but for money reason per gram per price and what species given

Recharge is nowhere near as powerful as many other brands and quite expensive if your looking at the population per gram/lb

Fulvic and humic is cheap and so is sugars . I would suggest best bang for ur buck (if it was me) and just buy separate if that’s their catcher point

Example: 100+ Count per gal!

Bio-force is such a great family and combo it can easily work with synthetics and organics but also be a universial Bennie where u don’t need anything but that one bag . I’m pretty ocd at looking at the bennies and fungi and what’s the best for your buck .. woow zero and only needs to be applied once a Month!

I was using Masterblend Tomato for a while...its good and all but i am running low and Megacrop Part A was cheaper.
I have a sack of Calnit (part B)

Here you can get Bud Candy and Bud Explosion but only in 25 pound sacks...man that is a lot when you use about 1 tsp in 5 gallons of water (2250 X 5 gallon water bottles at 6 grams each :D).

I have some Bud Explosion from when i ran the 1 part. I still have a bunch of that too. I like it in veg.

But this MC 5 12 26... it mixes so well. So easy...
Calnit is easy when you figure it out. put water in a cup...add calnit...swirl it around until the salts disolve..about 2 minutes..then it mixes PERFECT

I have a 1 tsp measure from my RAW NPK bloom microbes
3 Part A 1 Part B = 800 TDS
1 1/2 Part A 1 1/2 Part B = 600 TDS
It has silica....has mag...I will give it a go and see.

I will document anything i figure out here..but i put 7 autopots in play (3 X 25 litre and 4 X 15 litre) and will get a floraflex 16 X 48 tray going too. That would make the 4 x 8 tent as simple as watching 2 tanks instead of did i water that one at the back... :D

So far the girls love it. I love the adjustability of it and greenleaf has a beauty chart to figure out what is in the mix.
The total ppm doesnt match any of my meters but at least i can see at 9 grams of A and B it is 10-6-13 NPK or rougly 3 2 4 Very easy to dial right in.

After using this a while WOW do i love this megarop 2 part. And i finally found a use for all of these 2.6 litre coconut oil jars. :D

I use a RAW NPK Yellow teaspoon and i always mix 5 gallons at a time.

2 tsp MC
1 tsp calnit (always stirred not shaken...until clear in the water and added after MC is disvolved..which is VERY fast).
700 TDS on my meter

1 tsp MC
1 tsp calnit
550 tds.... BEAUTY vegger and i still use some MC 1 part (stinky version #2) sometimes.

2 tsp MC
3/4 tsp bud explosion (0-19-39)
1 tsp cal nit
875 TDS

I just use these over and over....if something is looking pissy the mix gets a tsp of epsom salts too added after MC and Bud Explosion.

And I do foilar feed silica and aloe with my jadam soap. Plants LOVE that shit.

The problem with bud explosion....it only comes in a 25 pound bag...and you never exceed 1 tsp in 5 gallons.
that bag is 1900 X 5 gallon water bottles with Bud Explosion. its quite a lot. but I have spent 125 on dumber stuff. I have about 6 weeks to decide.

At these concentrations the tips are just barely showing nutes. As cheap as I dare to go with nutes, and the quality is good !
