I'm an old fucker...LOL. I was 26 when I moved there in '84...... Worked on the hill for years and was at the "Sundance" far too many days for apres' ski.
Nope...don't recognize the name. Lotsa folks came and went during my time there...that's for sure. I stayed hidden a lot cus I was full blown into makin' money then. One of my good friends owns the pizza place there in town.. I delivered pizza for him in the early days as a side job. One of many I had. Worked at the Parking structure 4-12AM for a few years on top of a full time job.....LOL. Worked for the School district.... worked at the Gold course....worked tons of jobs while there. Whatever it took. Fuckin nuts. It was a good ride though....and a great place to raise kids.

While I think that Shroomery is a noble cause, I actually disagree that it is a good spot to peruse for teks. The site is very difficult to navigate and without direct links is a fucking rabbit hole. (pun intended)

Things change. I'm sure it's alot like the pot forums. Lotsa redundancy and off-topic stuff...and not near as many grow shows/or advices....or even pics. 15 years ago it was lotsa fun/sharing/etc. and a (mostly) good group of folks.
I'm genuinely happy to see everyone engaging and having confidence that our site would be a great place for such discussions and guidance. It further fortifies my notion that the community is what makes or breaks a site.
I'll continue to put time and resources into maintaining and improving the site for many years to come especially seeing this type of interaction and willingness to help others.

Good timing on this thread, I have good friends trying to get me involved in shrooms ever since that 60 minutes episode on psilocybin a couple months back. I have been reluctant.
I get sweaty palms just thinking of doing them again after all these years. Dang. I sure did my share back in the day. My wife says she will do them & she only smokes a couple times a year. Maybe I am being a wimp…

I'd say it's been a great thing for me and with the abundance of information available, how could you go wrong? Growing them is fun, and probably easier than growing weed. If you are apprehensive on taking them, just start with a low dose and see how it affects you. It's pretty easy to accurately dose if you are measuring in dried grams. My experiences have been nothing but positive.

I've only had positive experiences as well....probably 500 or so of em...moreso with acid in the 70's/Jr. high/High School....but later on...with the shrooms. Never even saw em until '78 or so....and it was a rare trip then......but the acid was plentiful/always around when we were teens and into college. We weren't microdosing though...LOL. Those 4-way Windowpanes in '74 were serious biz (for $2!!)....heeehhee. The last time I tripped on 'cid was in '93. Decided when I turned 50 to step back into the ring and that is when I started the Myco project. Haven't put the Psychonaut suit on for almost 10 years now though.
So I share yer wimpiness @Baja.Beaches ....LOL. The last few trips I had were almost too familiar......if that makes sense.

Growing up in Florida, most of our trips came from the cow fields. Cid was around too, but at $5-7/hit it was just easier for us teens to walk out to the field and come home with shrooms for the day. Definitely wasn't microdosing back then, lol. Wasn't something I even heard of until much later.

Thanks for a rational reply @spondlygrow. You are right, I really can start small on the dosage. As a teenager in Hawaii we visited the cow fields way too often, serious overindulgence. As near as I can figure it has been about 30 years.
Speaking of overindulgence LSD memories scare the heck out of me too @stiickygreen. Got heavily dosed without knowing, it was not pretty. Thanks a lot.
How often do you indulge? Is it a stay home kinda high or do you do stuff?
Maybe I will try again…still get a little nervous.

Dude I will tell you right now..... It's not what about going that far. I ate 2 grams last night while hanging with my old drinking buddies. And they didn't want to go there like we would be going to outer space it something. ......I chilled with everyone, had a good time, went to bed before them, up and running this morning like usual. Can't let the "too high doses" fuck with your head about that. ?
